This is my latest custom. It is a departure from my norm. It is, of course a frankensaber. It is running a Ultimate saber board and mom Corbin V2. I PC'd it and then epoxied to touch up after I scratched it some. It has a neato little mom tactile switch in one of Jon's LED holders to activate the clash and flicker. It is all powered by a 3.7V Li-ion rechargeable pack. The crystal pommel and one of the accent LEDs are amber flashers. This saber was nearly one year in conceptualization and realization, but it finally just seemed to come together.

The Particulars:

Corbin V2 (mom) from TCSS
Ultimate Saber Sound
3W Orange LED
flashing amber 5mm LED Crystal Pommel (acrylic Crystal)
flashing and static 5mm accent LEDs
Custom Activation Box
"Custom" Shroud
MHS parts from TCSS
mom tactile switch in LED bezel
Kill/recharge from TCSS
3.7V Li-ion rechargeable
LDM Powdercoat and semi-gloss epoxy

I've said it once, I'll say it again... NICE SABER!!!

Two questions...
1. could you tell us a little mor about the shroud/emmitter? It looks like it was custom machined.
2. What is "Ultimate Sound"? surely you didn't use a hasbro in that thing!!

It looks like a saber that a Dark Jedi would have. I love it!

To me it looks like the grip section of a MR Mace Windu with the grips removed, am I right?

It looks cool.

I really dig the shroud.
Very sweet.

What's the difference between a 3W orange and a 3W amber?

Hasbro Ultimate Lightsaber with the 3 sound fonts. This one is set to "ROTJ" which is descent and I have 4 of them so they need to go in something!;)

You are CORRECT!:)

Welllllll...this one simply said "Orange" in the description, but my guess is that it is simply a high BIN amber (but it looks completely orange to the eye)

It's about time you make a saber I don't like!! While of course I appreciate the attention to detail and overall craftsmanship which as always are top notch. I do not care for the design of this saber, but that's what's great about this hobby, I don't friggin have to like it to appreciate it. Nice work, I will say it looks very utilitarian, like a tool in a tool box.

Didn't Sid describe the color as a "turn signal amber"?

I appreciate the honesty! I also knew this one would be somewhat polarizing.;) BTW, Utilitarian is EXACTLY what I was going for, a Sith "tool" so to speak!:)

Where are the sound holes on this one? I went thru all your pics but I couldn't figure out where they are.

Well Well, LDM, another winner there for sure:mrgreen:.

Question, is the emitter shroud the grip section of a Mace saber?

Anyway, great job8)
