This is my first saber still have a few things I want to do to it. I was wondering if it is ok if the blade hoder itself gets warm.

It is ok if the blade holder gets a little warm. The heat sink in in direct contact with it, which also makes it part of the heat sink too. Nice first saber.

That’s a good start...this coming from someone who hasn't built a saber yet lol; I think I have gone a bit advantageous with my first design. Most are starting off as you are in the K.I.S.S method. I look forward to the updates to come.

Advantageous? Or do you perhaps mean adventurous? Or something else?

Overzealous, maybe. :-P

All of the above lol sorry. I clicked change on the spell checker and it changed it on me. I didn't have enough time before I left to change it to audacious. I spelt it with an s and not a c and it was picked up. Any way enough about my bad spelling lol.

What other things are you planning on doing to the saber?

Ah, audacious, I was trying to think of that word.

We'll look forward to seeing that saber finished up Ralak. :)

i love that blade! is that one of the acrylics from random sabers?

That's not acrylic.

To me, it looks like a thin walled polycarbonate blade that needs a few more feet of cellophane gift wrap inside it.

Doesn't look like it has any poly in it yet.
Good start though!

Thank you Rhyen.
The blade is 1in ploycarbonate tube 1/8 in thick, and right now it is just clear with nothing in it.
I was thinking about using Tsuka maki on the grip. I might be getting in over my head with the grip but oh well you learn by trying.

Ok guys and gals just a update. I used glass frosting spray on the blade. It does ok i just cant take pictures with the flash on. I had a brass accent on the back of the hilt but my saber fell over on a concerte floor and bent it all to, well lets not go there. Well more to come. :D

I'd recomend putting in four feet or so if polyP or clear gift wrap for the commoners. it will help make the blade look more even.

Well i just went with some weather stripping for the grip and put some clear wrapping paper in the blade i just need to remake the brass accent and i will be done with this one. ;-) I put a pic of the brass piece before it crashed
