View Full Version : Brass and aluminum Nihilus saber

Here is my new version of my Darth Nihilus saber. I am going to be the only Jedi with a Darth Nihilus saber. lol It is just over 15" long and I made it out of brass and aluminum. My old one had a gear like piece made out of machinable plastic, but I made this one out of brass. I am using a MR Maul sound board with a Lux III Red LED and an illuminated switch. I am also using one of Tim's colored polyC tubes on this one, I am using the special white one and it looks great. I left the blade at 40" long and it is still even and bright.

Thanks guys. I did try it with the transparent blue polyC blade with the red LED too. It was not very bright, but it looked very cool. It was purple in the core of the blade with the outer edge of the blade being blue. It looked very cool. I will post pics of that one later.

I guess DJ is rubbing off on me. I really do like this saber being as long as it is. It looks very proportional with a 40" blade, I may cut the blade down a little as soon as I figure which color of polyC I am going to use on it.
