Can anyone help me. I can't seem to figure out how to put a picture in my forum signature. All I get is the picture link. Do I click on an icon first or what do I do. Please someone help me.

try putting before it, without a space between that and the http and then immediately after it, again no space, put

I actually wanted to know the entire procedure for posting a pic in my signature.

I do have the before & after, but still no image, just the link. Do I need to click on an icon, possible the "inset link" icon?

That image is too big, for one thing.

Shrink it down first, which you can do right in Photobucket. Then if the Image tags don't work, then click the Insert Image button. It's not that hard to do.

Thanks J-Lo, I'll try resizing it. Not sure by how much though. I thought the max image size for posting pics was 800 pixels. Maybe thats just when you post a thread. I'll keep trying.

I resized the pic, but still no success. I don't even know the exact directions on how to do this. I'm just trying things to see if it works. When you run the cursor over an image in photobucket, it displays 4 link options (Email & IM, Direct Link, HTML Code, & IMG Code). Which one do I use, and what is the process of actually getting this pic on my signature.

Just copy and paste the image code to your signature.

BTW, I've merged a few of your double posts. Try not to do that very often ;)

Well, you're trying to post it as an image, right? So wouldn't follow to use the IMG code?

That's a good size for your signature.

Either copy and paste the Img code right to your sig, or copy the Direct Link, click the Insert Image button (it looks like a little picture of mountains and a sun with a yellow background, hover your mouse over the buttons and it tells you what they are for) and paste the Direct Link there. That's what I did to put your image in my post.

J-Lo, please don't kick my butt, but, I don't have that icon in my "Edit Signature" page. Just an "Inset Link" icon.

Look three to the right of the insert link button ;)

The 3rd icon to the right of the "Insert Link" icon is a "Wrap [quote] tags around selected text" icon. It looks like a quote box. This is getting frustrating. My cool jedi demeanor is being tested. Maybe I don't have this option in my edit signature box.

Starting to get tired. It's almost 1:00 am here. Been up long time. Early church with mom for Mom's Day. If no help in next few minutes, I might have to cont. tomorrow.

I really do appreciate all the help though. Thanks fellow saber builders.

That's weird, because I do. I checked and made sure before I made my last post.

I see the icon in the Quick Reply window, but not the signature window. I guess I'll have to settle for the link instead of the pic.

i think the reason he can't do it is because of the "new user" restrictions that Tim has on this forum. cause i can't do it either. i think he just needs to put up more posts to "unlock" this privilege  so the rest of you who can do it.... it's ok to feel special right now ;)
