Saberkit Obi-wan ANH P4 Conversion by LDM

I know it has been done, but not like this one. All electronics are in the saber itself including the optics. Most of you know that these usually have the optics in the emitter, but with the emergence of the ultrabright P4 blue LED, the light may shine through that thin little neck and we still have a nice bright blade.

Well, it seems to be brighter than the K2 blue to my eye. As far as rebels go, the royal blue rebel is not as bright, but the regular blue is equally as bright or slightly brighter.

My favorite blues (intensity wise) are Rebel>P4>Lux III, K2

Of course these ratings are "to my eye" and have absolutely nothing to do with actual Lumenous output.

Real nice that you did the conversion on a saber with an accurately-sized neck.

Are you going to mount transistors onto the clamp, and use a transistor as a switch cover?

Thanks for the complement Darth Lars, but no transistors on this one. I never post a saber that is not in its finished state, so this one was indeed finished when it was posted. I am planning another two with transistors however!;)

Have done. You do know that I have also converted 2 non EL ready Larbel-O's correct? Compared to a larbel-O a parks Obi conversion is cake.
