Bottom right and middle right are both intriguing - I hadn't thought of using multiple gear sections for grips....

I'm sort of with Kant, I like the 3 gear sections in a row. would be a very interesting feel to say the least.

bottom right..... ad some red 0 rings and claws and it will look evil

I have to wonder if all the grooves and ridges will line up with each other if you put 3 gear sections together in real life.

I don't like the grips on the fluted section on the one on the middle left. It looks weird to me and I don't think they'd work very well, not enough surface area to stick to. If they were overhanging the flutes, they'd probably catch on things and get pulled off.

You also have to think about the practical aspect of things when you are designing a saber using the MHS Builder. Just because you think it looks good there, that doesn't mean it would really work with the actual parts.

If you don't care, then I suppose it's worth a try if you have enough money to buy all the parts. You can always use the parts that don't work together on another saber.

I like the bottom right. You need to think about placement of the sound card and batteries. That is one disadvantage of using chokes, you can't really put too much in them. I am not sure what the ID is of the gear, but you may not be able to put a battery pack in it. Just make sure everything will fit before you order or you may be disappointed when you try to put it all together.

suprised that no one has mentioned this but you arent even taking threads into consideration, you have males and females going into the wrong types, all ***uality jokes aside you would have to use different adapters in between several of those parts or use internal adapters, but then you would sacrifice even more room...

There's only 2 that need an adapter tread.

But one does have an adapter that it dosent need.

For a first saber I would follow the KISS rules.

Awesome renders, not sure which one is my favorite. I'll leave it to you to choose which (or all) you decide to make! :-P

the ID of the gear is the same as the ribbed section. you can fit batter packs in them. and if you can get Tim to put three together that match grooves that would be a pretty cool grip

top two and bottom right require one or more adapters each

Are you sure? I already see an adapter on the bottom right one.

The gear section, ribbed extensions and chokes all have one male and one female thread. He left the thread hints in the V2 renders. Am I missing something?

I think the top right one is the only one that still needs an adapter.

I like the top right corner of your V2 selection. Looks good and you'll have no problem with space for the electronics inside. Fully functional and aesthetically pleasing.
