contacted madcow a couple months back about getting one last saber in before he becomes a father.
i wanted a simple prequel style hilt that looked like it had seen some use.
HUGE thanks to rob for taking on this project in such a time crunch.
im blown away at the quality of madcows work.
his attention to detail is amazing. every aspect of the saber is is beyond what was asked.
the bin 6 cyan is great. a very "calm" green
it is truly awesome. not too big, very nimble and great for spins. the battery weight offsets the blade for a very balanced feel.
my favorite part has to be the activation and aux buttons. perfect placement and craftsmanship.
they are attached to tactile switches not mounted to a slider like on earlier genesis sabers.

specs:
MHS parts modified and weathered by madcow
cf 4.1
luxeon K2 cyan bin 6
in hilt recharge
2700 mAh 4.8 volt NIMH battery
activation and aux placed higher on the hilt in madcow style
backlit aux button
mini bar graph (green) w/ red low battery led

You got a nice piece there. And very appropriately described too: very prequel, and it is a rather "calm" green... good word. ;)

Actually that is THE ABSOLUTE SHORTEST - I can make an MHS saber with all those goodies in it.

I'm glad you like it Midi - that saber was the last to come off my bench before baby came!!! And the $$$ paid for a kicking stroller for my boy!

Cheers,
Rob

truely beautiful. honestly, sir, i am very excited to see a hilt that isn't +12 inches long. great weathering, part choice, and lay out.
