Very different look, you pulled off the Vader theme great but I don't think that's a very doable saber right there.

as a full sound + light and stuff saber its probably not, but maybe just as a collectible it coul work.

I think you need just as much skill to make a render like this one as to make a real lightsaber.
I enjoy his lightsaber renders and the point is to enjoy the art and skill of his work.

I can appreciate the art and skill of renders. but Id like to see a render that can be done in reality

take a decent saber as a base and build on from there...

i don't really see how its not doable. it has room for a blade, electronics inside. what else would it need.

I just meant that I couldn't conceptualize its inner workings. Kind of a suggestion for more renders showing the individual sections... Would be awesome to see this work!

the more I look at it the more I think it could be doable with a BIT of expense. the outer black parts could be done in delrin with small LEDs. but the shroud looks...mmm cartoonish? id go with vaders shroud. I think the control boxes would convey the intent. but the renders should go in the renders thread in misc

Nah, it's a device invented by the rebels to tell them whenever Vader is nearby.

yeah j-lo. you would think that was the "force" he was using to find those evil rebels. nope, it was vadar. the original plans had it named "V-Radar" but vader thought that was a sissy name, and dubbed it, Vadar!

most of it shouldnt be a problem, the only problem might be the vaderhelmet shroud

do you think you could flip the helmet around to maybe become a hand guard (just a thought) then put a cf in it with an idle hum of vader just breathing
