I had a couple of extra parts sitting here, the pommel and a 4" extension, so in my last order I added a ribbed extension and the new style 16 blade holder. I think it turned out pretty good:

The led is a simple Luxeon III bin 3 blue. Blade is my basic Dual-Core Diffusion style, 36" long. There's no recharge port or accent led's on this one....just a pain, simplistic elegance to it, I think. It does have sound, and that is provided by a Master Replicas Darth Maul sound board. I adde a half-sleeve with an angled cut and some simulated grips on the rear section of the hilt. It also has a machined CT knob.

I also shot a short video of this one:

I love it. How did you do the grips. If I had to guess, I would think a pipe cutter and wire brush bit. But if thats it, then how did you get such a small area without ripping up the tape or going over the accent lines? I'm not incredibly accurate with my dremel.

Pipe cutter to make the lines, which is shown in the A to Z build threads section in several of my topics in there, and then I simply taped it off with masking tape and hand sanded it with some 220 grit paper.

This saber is so simple, but really perfect.
The hilt is delightfully simple, yet has an elegance to it.
I want it. :D
