how would you power them?

mihunai

how would you power them?

with 4 or 6 AA's and a corbin, i think
2 P4's
something like that

well you could at least post the picture

the forked saber is not on top priority for me right now.
if im going to make another saber, it will probably be the Grievous saber...

That is a cool render and I've seen forked LED sabers made so it is possible. I've never realy understood the "real world" application of having a saber like that. I mean what would the second blade do that the first blade couldn't accomplish??

Generally, it'd make you look even more bada$$, but i'll be honest & say i'm not a fan of that particular design. There was talk about 18mths ago of the possibility of double emitters or forks being done instore, but I imagine Tim never persued it due to time/cost/demand for them, though I could be wrong.

as for a practical application, binding your oponent's blade. Think of the sai, such as Rafiel carries (Ninja Turtles). the space between the blades of the forked saber is used to captured the enemy's blade to do horrible physical attacks to them.

So yes, very sithalicious.

either one would be awesome...

added new pics as well

Trade meant Tim made at least one forked emitter piece, like I said.

WIP = Work in progress. He got one from Tim in a grab bag so is obviously going to use it at some point.

i knew what a WIP was, but not which one.
i apparently missed the part where you said that about the double emitter, sorry...

I thought forked sabers had the second emitter at a 45 degree angle? I think that would be more practical than having two blades right next to eachother.

Your design though...do what you wish.

Roblio Darté had his second emitter at a 45* angle, and he allso had a slightly curved hilt.
that doesnt mean every forked saber needs a second emitter at a 45* angle with a curved hilt.
Exar Kun made a double saber with 1 set of crystals, so it should be possible to make a bend with it...

Not to take away from youre design at all. great designs,
just wanted to show that it's doable by a comptetent sabersmith.

I'd like to see a three prong trident style staff!!

mihunai
04-29-2009, 04:47 AM
do you think Tim will ever make such a part for the MHS?
i mean not like the trident thing he did, but actually stick one tube through another...

A character in my SW character's backstory has a similar design with a "secret" extra blade and tonfa handle. He used it to trap an opponent's blade then force the sabre out of their hands with a string twist of the tonfa handle..

well, id do know there was a Jedi/Sith with a lightsaber which had a near invisible thin blade... having a blade like that would be great for a secret blade :D

Do tell, I don't know about them & i'm pretty good with this sorta thing. Unless you mean Roblio Darte?

i know i ran across a page which said that there was someone who could "reduce his blade to a nearly invisible line of light" or something similar.
i just cant find the page, unfortunately...
