this is a concept i had for an old-style lightsaber, with an extra blade to make sort-of a 'broadswoard'

i know, Roblio Darte had one with a second emitter, at 45* with a slightly curved hilt, as if every double emitter saber must be like that...
well, if Exar Kun can make a double bladed saber with 1 set of crystals, im sure this could be done too

I'm partial the the fourth image (secondary overlay, no main blade shroud).

It's an interesting design. If you were to build it, what diameter blade would you use for the secondary emitter?

Design # 5 is my FAV. The smaller blade might be made with a 1/4" acrylic rod.

I think a 1/4" acrylic rod would be too small, it would break too easily. I'd go 1/2" but that might look weird next to an LED blade.

Well solid polyc, nylon,pex or something thereof with a HB LED to possibly light it.

A single 5mm led is not going to light anything up, going to need a few of them.

lots of replies all of the sudden :D
but once again, this is just a concept i rendered, it may never be built.
If, however, i was id probably use powdercoated MHS parts and make the second emitter a bit bigger so i can fit a Lux in there, and just go for a 36" long 1" polyc. for the main blade and 14" long polyc 3/4" blade for the other. that way at least i know it wont break that easily

If you do make it, I think you need the shroud on there.
