Question about EL vs. LED

Hi, I'm gonna be making a saber soon, and I was wondering which lookes better, EL, or LED?

If somone has a pic of a saber useing each type of blade, could you post them to show the difference?

Okay... did you read the description thread that's on the front page of the site. There are plenty of picture threads/forums too. Look at them and decide. You will usually prefer one over the other.

EDIT: James beat me by a minute.[:p] I'm nice though, just don't make the same mistake twice. I'll point you there once after that... not so nice.[:(!]

My first saber was an EL, and it's great. But I just got my first LED from Tim yesterday, and I don't think I can go back to EL.

I like led somehow it seems more real.Might sound weird but its all opinion.

ok here are my thoughts

EL- its ok for beginers.
problems-the little wire always breaks, at least on mine.

LED- Perfect for beginers
problems-no problems, go with LED it will save you alot of time.

I finnished my first saber and went to my wife and said, "Look! A really elaborate flashlight I can dual with!"

This thing is brighter than most store bought flash lights!
I have a 10LED flash light that runns on 3C batteries and will stay on for a month!
But my saber is way brighter![:p]
