Hello guys, with not enough money for a new saber, but still a need to build something that light up, blink or whatever. My fingers itch with nothing to build, I decided to re-build a protective mask. This one:

This mask is meant to be use if you work with everything smelly, like paint or solvents.

Bought it some days ago, took it apart and throwed away the "filters" to make room for batteries and stuff.
I also bought
20 high-intensity green LEDs wanting 20mA and
10 UV LEDs also wanting 20mA.

I have room for max. 4 AA batteries.
I want to drive 4 or 5 UV and 7 green LEDs with only that much batteries.

Now I want your thoughts on how to do that in a simple way and other ideas on this project. Any help and whatever stupid ideas you got up your sleeve is welcome!

Why are you wanting to use UV LEDS?

I hope they aren't where they can shine into your eyes, they can cause damage to your eyes if they do.

No, they are not where I can see them. I'm well aware of the danger with UV.
They are going to "light" some uv-active textile that will be my replacement for the filter. Ergo, I want my "filters" to glow. The uv-leds will be inside the filter part.

This is the raver part of me messing with the electronic part of me:P

You can get the 5 mm UV LEDs and other LEDs on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-of-50-X-3mm-UV-LED-Ultra-Bright-Free-Resistors_W0QQitemZ250387254557QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ LH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item250387254557&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

You will have to use resistors so you won't burn up the LEDs. These LEDs here come with resistors.

Are you going to paint it to match the colors of the LED's or different colors or just keep it black?

If you were going to paint it, check out some paintball masks for really cool color patterns and designs.
