This is a build thread for my first saber, named égalité. The saber has a white cree XR-E and a red, white, and blue pommel accent light, so I named it after "White" from Krzysztof Kieślowski's Three Colors trilogy. Égalité stands for equality, and means that the law applies to all equally. Fitting for a Jedi weapon.

The saber is still in progress, but I figured I'd pull all of the tangents together into a proper build thread to preserve my sanity. Below are links to a photo gallery, video, and most importantly the threads where TCSS forum came to the rescue and helped me to understand the basics of saber creation. Thanks so much for the great advice.

The next step for this saber is to add retaining screws (friction fit only, LOL) and to add a decorative grip. I might also replace the sound board due to a circuit board malfunction involving the clash/whoosh sensor traces popping off the board like popcorn kernels. Now I get about 20 seconds of play time before the saber turns itself off.
