Modify this blade holder.

Ok I have two El 3/4 inch blade holder (see below) that I got in one of the grab bags several months ago. I am ok with using the 3/4 inch blades for this project so I am looking at trying to convert these and use them as LED holders but need to think of how to mod them so they will work.

I have some ideas but wondered what others, if anyone, have done.

Do any of you have any suggestions or have done this before?

offhand I would think of drilling mounting holes for a reverse LED type mount. This would allow the lens to align with the center of the hole directly without a collimator or lens. Problem would be that the wires would squish between the LED and the metal. Other option would be a custom mount that threads to the existing ones.
