What program are you using?

If you are trying to up load video from your camcorder, you need a video editing program to run the camcorder.

You might have Windows Movie Maker on your computer, if you don't you can get it on www.download.com.

This program works very well for the novice film maker, and it will control your camcorder.

That's not how it works.

You need to import it USING Adobe.

I think it's under the File menue... Look for something like Import video...

If you have the right thing another video monitor should pop up (camcorder MUST be on).

You can then control the C/C using the buttons provided in the pop-up.

I had Adobe Premier Pro 1.5, but it was a trial that ended 2 mo. ago. This LapTop can't handle Pro 2.0. I suppose I could just use Elements though...

Adobe would be easier...

Is there anything under "File" that sais Import Video? Or anything simmiler It should be about 3/4 from the bottom of the menu, if I remember correctly.

That's it...

There should be an option for taking it from the C/C (or video device) or from a file...

Pic the C/C (or V/D)

That should make the "control room" for the C/C pop up.

Incase you have little experience with Premier...
After you capture your video, it should be in your colections menu (upper left) you then have to drag it from that menu to the Time Line at the bottom.

You have to record them on to your PC.

Click the Red dot (Record) to record it TO your computer.

You can use the Play, FF, RW, ect. to oporate the C/C.

Edit: There should be a Black or Blue screen that you can watch the video on from the C/C in this pop-up window.

If you want to use WMM just click on "Import from DV".

But you have to decide what kind of quality video you want, and there's about 20 options.

"For best playback on this PC" works best unless you're trying to make a DVD. then you need the highest quality there is. Adobe dose this automaticly.

WMM will also control the C/C the same way Adobe does.

Feel free to ask if you get stuck again.

Edit:
WMM works very well for converting video to Web size. You just put the video on the timeline and save it as "Broadband 300" (that's what I use) and it will automaticly reformat it for optimum quality and D/L time for Broadband.

BTW...

Can you change the topic title to something like "Problem importing video" ?

"OMG..." Is not going to work well if someone is surching for this subject.

If you can't do it anymore (from too many replys) ask xwing.

Thanks
