Here is the other saber I just finished as a x-mas gift. This one is for Tom, my girlfriend's father. He helped me alot with the first few belt hangers I made( I have no room in our tiny apartment for any power tools). He is Brigette's boss (see my other post from today), so I figured it would give them a chance to use spontaneous saber battles to pass time or ease tension at work.

I figured on making it a sith saber since one's boss is usually one's nemesis. it is constructed from the same mhs parts as the Brigette saber ( blade holder 1, pommel 4, 5 inch extension) I cut the 5 inch extension into 2" and 3" pieces and joined them with with some...can you guess...1.25" sinktube (with most, not all, of the chrome sanded off). The switch plate is made from a number 70 weaver gun sight mounting rail cut down and drilled. The Plo Koon-esque emitter was made by adding the serrated connection point of a pvc /hose t-junction (like this one http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.pondsolutions.com/images/laguna-t-connector.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.pondsolutions.com/pump-tubing.htm&usg=__ZB7tNpXZVstUV1nBrau8Fhl6WIM=&h=189&w=276&sz=8&hl=en&start=38&um=1&tbnid=HYzgzgaAy4wxTM:&tbnh=78&tbnw=114&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpvc%2Bt%2Bconnector%26start%3D36%26nd sp%3D18%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN) shimmed with a cut piece of sink tube. It is running red lux III from the shop and a talking Vader sound card (in intentional contrast to Brigette's Yoda). It was originally gonna have a Hasbro board, but I fried it, and then bought another, and fried that one too, but I did manage to get a full refund on the second fried one! Saber sounds will be added a later date, and maybe some other upgrades too. enjoy!

I love the emitter you put on there. Very well done, and a nice aggressive looking hilt to go with the red blade and Vader voice.

I like the bit about the full refund on the board.

It's interesting to know that Wal-Mart will honor exchanges on broken items as long as you have the receipt as many times as you wish. (For those of us who like Hasbro boards and have the mind of a sith. ;))

Is one of those buttons just for looks or does it control the board talking?

the larger button controls the talking and will eventually also control a hasbro board if I can find the right one. It seems the clone wars sabers have a different board than the force action. the force action boards seemed to take more power easily (that is what the brigette saber has)

why thank you. That is only version one, since I am in the process of purchasing a house, I have to put building new sabers on hold...for myself, but there will definitely be some visual upgrades to This saber as my machining skills progress.
