Ok, so...I pre-ordered the US2.0, a battery pack w. speaker attached and a momentary switch.

I received the US2.0, but was told that the four triple-A battery pack wouldn't work. So, I ordered a 2AA pack, new speaker and speaker mount and some ultrafire batteries/charger. I got that all wired up. Now, it turns out that the momentary switch I bought (The 'standard' SPST momentary from TCS) won't work with the US2.0 either. Too much 'bounce'. I bought a few momentary switches from a local electronics shop, same problem.

So...I need to get a new momentary switch. Since the hilt of my sabre is machined for the 'standard' switch, I'll have to get a new hilt as well.

So...Do the SPST Momentary Guarded switches on TCS have low enough 'bounce', or is my only option a momentary tactile switch?

You can still use the normal TCSS switch. See this tutorial by Jay Gon Jinn ;)

My brother is using a guarded switch on his US and occasionally (3 times out of 10 I would say) he gets kicked out of the menu.

I wouldent worry to much about the guarded switches.

If only they were programed with more than just tactiles in mind!

I use the tall version of the tactile that Tim sells here. They work great!
