Well, I'm sure most of you now know of the project I'm working on...a set of Mandalorian duds with Jedi Acutriments (probibly didn't spell that right, ah well). With any decent bit of armor, first I'm making the helmet.

Might need to stand on your head to see it....

Yes, that's a Federation Phaser on my work bench, how else did I do the welding?

I've got a set of coveralls coming to be the base for my main costume, and I'm going to modify a pair of Jedi boots.

Yep, it's a skateboard helmet with shaped 28 guage steel plates epoxied and riveted with a lexon visor.

Well, I got some setbacks in two ways....

#1: Financial
We just got the "Watch your Ps and Qs because they're looking to cut costs" speech at work... so for the moment, I'm on fiscal hold.

#2: Impatience
Let this be a lesson to everybody...DO NOT RUSH A PROJECT!!! Always calmly proceed on a project, do not make short cuts and heed all directions. It seems that I put too much stress on the visor when I started epoxying it in..and two cracks appeared in the T-Visor. Although they're in the corner of my view they're big enough to cause problems when I tint it. So...now I'm in the process of salvaging as much as I can, cutting the epoxy free of the faceplate.

Verdict: Project on hold... :(

Where did he specifically say he was doing jedi mando?

Instead of trying to turn this thread into a peeing contest,

Take a look at the thread title Mando Armor WIP, no where does it mention any particular group, just someone nice enough to share tips and pics about his project.

If you want to discuss a particular group start a thread to do it, don't hijack another thread

Now play nice

Silent J looking forward to more pics on your progress, keep us posted.

when he was talking about it in the shout box. if he changed his mind about it being a jedi mando to a mando with just some jedi trophy stuff then thats fine by me all i said was that they didnt allow that. i was simply trying to be informative of what was said before he did a thread for it.

I was infact trying to make a Jedi-Mando as an alt in the Rebel Legion. I wasn't going to make it heavily armored for mobility sakes. Updates won't be for a while due to financing issues. I'm trying my best to slowly salvage the helmet after an issue with the homemade visor cracking.

You can get a welding mask and cut the templet out of it, alot of folks do it that way to save a few bucks .
