My obiwan ep I/II I machinned myself. Blue K2 powered@ 1A or 1.5A, 25/21 blade, activation with the red button, brass screw as blade lock. Pommel is removable to charge the batteries and/or to set the security key that avoids battery discharging when saber is unused. First picture is my custom PCB I made for the K2. No sound on this one, I could not affort it with the size of the saber (I wanted to keep it as close to 1:1 scale as possible, which I did, except for the grip and emitter grooves). Emitter's head is just 2 mm OD larger than the original, the other dimensions are correct (or really really close). I did my best understanding that I don't own nor ever had in my hand a real saber (not even blueprints). I have my lathe since may only... :D

I love how it has the thin neck. Best twirling saber I have next to my curved hilt. Not sure if it will get Lux converted, but some upgrades are in it's future (namely paint at the least). Thankfully I can tell that upgrades shouldn't be all too hard since the electronics are a machined insert that can be slid out.

Two graflex, ANH with my sound board in, the other ESB, with wireless omnisaber sound board (to go with my wireless vader ). Blue luxeon star III, I was lucky to get a batch with light blue, almost as bright as a Cyan, but not greenish. Grips, boards and bubbles from Blashtech, blade mount from TCSS, recharge pins and red button switch kit from graflex shop. And electronic modules by me ;-)
Batteries recharge port is inside the graflex, simply open the clamp lever, turn and get the beast recharged, or switched off totally with a little PVC safety key.

I got these pics from Yoda (aka Meridian) of fx-sabers.com.

He did a fantastic Luke V2 here. Lots of details that may help anyone that wants to make one themselves. I believe the most notable things are:

-IT'S ALL MHS BASED! 8)
-The little flange on the sinktube that I usually throw away... He made great use of it on the top there to actually make it more accurate.
-The toggle switch hidden between the clamp. It get locked into place by the clamp.
-He used a sinktube adapter and sinktube to get the bottom closer in look and size. Ingenius again.

Finally... the pics. They are large and detailed so here are the links:

My Parks Obi TPM. Dang spiffy! It smaller than you'd imagine. All Stainless steel, aluminum and I'm guessing delrin or PVC for the black. It has a decent heft to it.

Eventually I'll lux it up. I didn't take a shot of the EL blade... it sucks. It's dim. Also on Parks' newer blades, he got rid of the orange cap for a shouldered tip, but now has a printed warning not to duel right on the friggin' EL sheet!

These are all hardware sabers and the LED set up is a direct drive (resistor) Star O BIN 1 Blue with my own custom made blade.

From sidious like to an actual sidious. :)

Here's the first Luxeon Sidious that I know of, built by me. ;D

http://www.incomsabers.com/images/sidious.jpg

It's a Luxeon III powered by a single CR123. It's a very small hilt inside, maybe four inches of workable space. Whoever built them obviously intended for it to be a EL saber. The blade goes in too deep to pull off much more with a luxeon. Sound won't happen but I could see a driver being in there.

The thin walled 3/4" won't make it a dueler but it's fantastically balanced.

Overall it was a simple thing to do, easily done in a day. If you could get one of the ones I've seen floating around on eBay one could lux it up rather cheap. I just used the custom heatsink and put it in a 1" ID 1 1/8" OD aluminum tube. Obviously the saber was poured around a 1 1/8" tube because it was super snug and made mounting a breeze.

here is my graflex ANH reworked... I wanted to upgrade it with crystal focus v2.5 and... I wanted a crystal chamber (logical with "crystal focus" electronics). And I wanted the inside to look like a "real" lightsaber. Not an exact copy of the SW visual dictionnary, I had to keep thing functionnal, but I think it ended well. Blue lux III overdriven at 1.5 A, rumbling motor, transformer copper wires for a more "organic" look. PVC and plasticard for the craddle. The force crystal was recut to fit, finished with various grits of sandpaper, and polished with car paint polish to get the transparency back. The crystal is lit with a blue 5mm LED wired as a "progressive power on indicator" on the crystal focus and follow all the variation of the luxeon, including energy flickering, clash shimmering etc. I've also included the aux. button on the bottom of the hilt, thru a speaker hole.

A detailed view of the insided (with a few "invented terms")

My take on an Imperial Knight style.

It's the 1-1/4" sink tube blade holder inside (obviously) a 1-1/4" sink tube. #18 o-rings over that except for the neck area which uses #17 o-rings to taper it a bit. Then a 1-1/2" sink tube cutout and shroud over that. It's a little big for my hands, but so are all the MR's. Right now it has a Atlas Daylight white LED with a 1000mah buckpuck driver ran off of 6AA for 9v. Length is just under 14".

My newest saber........my first personal saber in two years of making sabers.

Completely machined by yours truly.

Rechargeable...no sound (sorry X)...royal blue 3W...custom made rotary switch....everything made from solid aluminum stock....pommel is one solid piece rather than pieces....

I plan on keeping it all natural alum...I like the look....

Exactly like my other one pretty much. Differences are I used a square pack vs. the 2x2 config. I really should have done that before, it was loads easier. The person I'm building this for is a costumer so the square pack is easier to store somewhere and swap compared to the more permanent solution I used for mine.

Then I wasn't satisfied with the sensor... too weak. With the blade wiggling from the hit anyway you could hardly tell the clash effect was there. So I wanted to implement a switch. The brass valve seems logical for a seamless look, but I found the little tactile I placed a good compromise for function during use (hand is away from main power) and look. If you're having a hard time picking it out I did my job well! :D

This is not quite done because of an LED snafu (I was sent the wrong part), but here's a pic of mine:

Well here’s my latest acquisition, a Parks Obi TPM.

I’ve wanted an Obi Wan TPM for years and when I saw it I just had to get it. I bought it off eBay on Monday and got it yesterday (Thursday, this has been the longest week ever!). The listing didn’t actually say it was a parks, it said ‘this comes from overseas by a famous HK maker’. I assumed it was a Larbel saber, but when it arrived I knew straight away it wasn’t. (I had seen pics of a Larbel on the net) For one the grips didn’t go in to deep and two it had a parks blade with it. When I removed the pommel it was hollow, like the parks and it had the same parks inverter as my M2.

I love this thing and it is now my favorite saber even with no sound and the EL blade. Eventually I’d like to lux it up but for now it will stay as is.

Suprised I didn't post this before... hilt is again by Yoda (Meridian) of FX-sabers. I did little extra. I swapped in an MHS grille for the pommel and was able to source the cone knob for the kill switch.

I was just the installer basically. I don't mind that... the weathering is not my thing.

Video going to be posted in the appropriate thread...

Well I've had this MPP handle for awhile now and I've finally got round to putting the electronics in it.

The blade holder is from the graflex shop, it had a red 3 watt luxeon led powered by a MR Luke ROTJ sound board with 4 AAA batteries. The switch is mounted on the clamp, you can see it in the fourth photo.

Parks Obi Wan TPM Saber converted by Xwing. Rebel LED and Ultrasound V1.1. It runs off Li Ions and the charge port is right by the covertech. The red button is the power button. Pictures taken with one of Xwing's nylon blades installed. The pictures are a tad overexposed with the blade lit.

Here's my first MHS saber. It's a ROTJ V2 built, wired, and weathered by Madcow. (amazing work and top notch communication. Thanks again!) It houses a CF v3.0 and a LuxV green. It's running off of a 7.2v NIMH battery pack. All MHS parts except for the pommel (MR) and the Graflex clamp. The kill plug is the cone knob like other V2's you've seen and the activation switch it located beneath the circuit card. All you have to do is apply slight pressure and it powers on. SUPER COOL!

Well here's the pics. Thanks again Madcow! You rock!

I can't take credit for this. From Parks Sabers... "Arc Wave" stunt saber(no electronics) but you and I know it better as Luke ROTJ hero version.

My Imperial Knight lightsaber, with P4 led, and MR Luke ROTJ board powered by 6v (4xAAA). At some point, I'll be trying to dull down the emitter and pommel to try to match the duller brushed look of the sink tube overlay. The d-ring mount was cut from one of those metal rods that are used to break the glass on fire extinguisher hatches (because it already had a hole drilled through one end). I then drilled and dremelled out the recharge mount hole on the MHS speaker grill, and glued the rod in. I also went through a couple drill bits trying to widen the rod hole to get the d-ring installed.

My 3 MR sabers. The Vader's going to be sent off to LDM for tear down and the sound board will go into Defiance, along with the blade and the clamp box. Never really liked the vader, its too wide and where the clamp box is, it makes for an awkward hilt to hold.

Ya'll knew I would do this. This started as a Korbanth Jade and I added a few cool LDM-ish features. The hi-lite is the Purple translucent Pommel insert that ups the Crystal Pommel's game. The Optics module is also a feature of which I am exceedingly proud and it contains the best TruPurple LED I have ever done. I also decided to keep the 3/4" blade because of the scale of the hilt itself.

Particulars:

Ultrasound 2.5
TruPurple LED
Violet Acrylic Crystal Pommel
Hidden 1.3mm Recharge/Kill
4.8V NiMH battery solution
TCSS HO speaker
"under the LED" switch

this is my Obi Wan styled wood hilt...Only equipment used was a chisel and a hammer. I was 15 when i made it so almost 3 years ago now.

Considering it was made out of an old curtain rod which had grooves the entire length i tried my best to make it look half decent.

I suppose this saber fits here better than anyplace else. Replica of the saber seen in The Force Unleashed carried by Galen Marek.

Specs:

Custom hilt made from original plans
Custom crystal chamber
Makototsai V2 red blade and Super One sound card
18650 Li-Ion battery pack with PCB
In-hilt recharge

I'm a couple parts shy of totally finishing up. Minor details are all that is needed to call this one totally done, so forgive me if I have jumped the gun just a bit.

Based on my original plans, this saber was modified slightly to accommodate the Makototsai V2 blade and Super One sound card. Since the blade and sound are integrated into a single unit, build techniques for this saber were slightly different. No trying to figure out heatsinking an LED, no worrying about leaving room aft of the crystal chamber for sound...none of it was a concern here. I based this saber around a continuous length of 1" copper pipe, since larger material for the base would have been wasted space. The rest of the saber went around this pipe, and it gave me the opportunity to have REAL copper for the emitter and band along the grip section.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/sixmilliondollarman/Starkiller%20-%20Mako%20blade/IMG_4629.jpg
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/sixmilliondollarman/Starkiller%20-%20Mako%20blade/IMG_4637.jpg

As usual, I was concerned with details. How could I set this Starkiller apart from the others I had built? How indeed. I made the crystal chamber a focal point of this saber. Check out the in=progress pics:

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/sixmilliondollarman/Starkiller%20-%20Mako%20blade/DSC05043.jpg
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/sixmilliondollarman/Starkiller%20-%20Mako%20blade/DSC05042.jpg

Those vertical rods you see were wrapped with nearly 6 linear feet of thin copper wire each. The crystals are modified acrylic drop points. I could have gone with real quartz, but for the look I wanted, a synthetic material was a better choice. Now, compare to the finished chamber:

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/sixmilliondollarman/Starkiller%20-%20Mako%20blade/IMG_4626.jpg
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/sixmilliondollarman/Starkiller%20-%20Mako%20blade/IMG_4625.jpg

The chamber has a nice look to it, and the use of copper balances with the minimal amount of it on the outside of the saber at the emitter and the grip band. I used replica t-track grips on this saber, and they have a nice feel. Maybe these particular t-tracks are a bit softer compound than others, but they don't bite into the hands. Enough of this, though...how about some lit shots?

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b76/sixmilliondollarman/Starkiller%20-%20Mako%20blade/IMG_4633.jpg

I have a bit of work left to do - a bit of weathering, a couple screws, a control box cover to make. Not a big deal. I am 99% happy with this saber. The 1% is minutia - the LED illuminating the crystal chamber is not as bright as I would like...and it blinks instead of being steady. Also, there is no Covertec - but no need, since the blade CANNOT be removed Otherwise, this saber turned out great. Hope you like it as much as I do.

*ripped from my post at FX-Sabers - sorry...too lazy to make it unique here*

Hello there,

I am Master Jedi Roize from Taiwan. My Padawan lives in France. He saw the Obiwan TPM Lightsaber I built and contacted me several times and requesting me to build him an Obiwan TPM Lightsaber... I hesitated at first... because the Obiwan TPM saber is a pain to build... for my current technology and knowledge. Yes, I am a Machinist myself both Lathe and Mill machines. I built my own Obi TPM saber because it is verrrry expensive to buy at ebay. So evry saber HILT I have are all Custom built by myself... My Luke's EP6 Lightsaber, my Obi EP1 TPM Lightsaber HILT... HILT I built myself then the blade and sound card are of Master Makoto because we know each other and were friends too... Our first project together was Luke's EP6 Lightsaber... our next will be Obiwan's EP3 Lightsaber coming very soon...
Going back to my Padawan who lives in France... I decided to build him an Obiwan TPM Lightsaber because I felt there is a connection between us... unspeakably... I then agreed to build him His Obi TPM Saber.
Of coarse he supplied me the funds for the build... But it was NOT business... it's because he's my Padawan.. and I just built the last Obi TPM Lightsaber for the last time... as it was a pain to build... especially the anodizing part of the proccess... IT is the ONLY two (2) Obiwan TPM Lightsaber that built with 7075 Aluminum which is far more durable (Harder) and more scratch resistant than the "Common" 6061 T-6 Aluminum sold at ebay...

and here's how it looks...
