View Full Version : Pucks and Micro LEDs
Okay, when I placed my order with Tim for my first saber, I ordered an accent LED, but forgot to order the resistor to match it.
My saber is a Green Lux V (6.84 forward volts) overdriven with a 1000mA Buckpuck.
Can I run both the main LED and the accent LED off of the buckpuck or do I need the resistor?

No, you need the resistor, the forward voltage of the Lux V is going to be well over that of the accent LED.
Check the Resistor Chart to figure out what value you need:

Oh, I know what value I need, I'm just not wanting to wait another week for a sixty cent resistor to come in the mail, so I want to try and wire it up now.
Thanks though.
