Copper Heatsink

Soooo, I happened to just assume the copper heatsink would fit inside my viper defender hilt. BIG MISTAKE! Now I need to take off about 2mm of its diameter to fit. So far I've tried a steel file, and a dremel tool, neither of these works too well. Does anyone think a bench grinder would work any better?

it would but you would have to be careful with it and not hold it directly. I would think that a dremel with a sanding drum or cutting mandrel would give you better control and should be plenty to get the grinding done.
