No, the emitter, or blade holder, doesn't slide into the sink tube and get held with screws.

If you're making a sink tube saber, you need 1 of these:
http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MHS-to-15-sink-tube-adapter--P162.aspx (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MHS-to-15-sink-tube-adapter--P162.aspx)

It's a sink tube adapter, you'll need one for your blade holder to screw into. This is what attaches to the inside of your sink tube with the button head screws. And you're going to need 4 of those screws, not just 2. They screw in from the outside, not the inside.

And see the lip just below the threads? That's where your heat sink will sit, it will be sandwiched between this part and the blade holder when you screw it down.

How did you think the LED and heat sink would be held in? Or did you think about that?

well i was thinking that the heatsink would do basically what was done in this: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=20 and thats why i thought the sinktube woud slip over it.

No, the Store doesn't carry those blade holders anymore. That tutorial is over 3 years old, the MHS parts were just being developed back then. The sink tube adapters are what are used now. With the regular blade holders.

It does show that you read the tutorial though, so good show there. I can also see why you were confused.

There's something that looks kind of similar in the store, but it's for 3/4 EL blades and is only meant to hold the mono jack for it.

Those pics are right from the store. Click on the link to the sink tube adapter.

First pic, sink tube adapter alone.
Second pic, adapter inside sink tube (not held in with screws, just sitting there).
Third pic, blade holder screwed onto adapter that's inside sink tube.
