Known issues.

1. When installing the batteries you may have to break the connection for a second in order to start the board. This is shown above in Ultra's video.

2. Some switches can make getting through the setup menu a pain. Be sure to hold the sound card so it can not move and push the switch firm and quick. Once you get it programmed it should not be a issue.

Here are the instructions at this point.

ULTRASOUND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS.

This board uses a momentary tactile switch for operation.

1. Tap the button once to turn the saber on.
2. Hold the switch down for 2.5 seconds to turn the saber off.
3. Push button for Clash/Lock Effect.

After saber is activated (in on mode) the user can press once to activate a fast flicker effect
User can again press once to deactivate fast flicker and return to standard operation.

Main Menu: Set-up Navigation

1. With Saber turned off and batteries installed hold the button down to enter the setup menu.
You’ll know you’re in the menu because the board will tell you (it talks).

Your settings have been saved!

4. The saber will exit the setup menu after the blade mode selections.

IMPORTANT! (be sure to use the correct voltage/power with corresponding LED type)

Switch Type.
Momentary Tactile "Low bounce" type required.
Switch leads should be kept as short as possible for best performance.
(4 inches or less recommended)

Wire Type.
High quality copper wiring is recommended for all connections.
(Flexible silicone sleeve type recommended)
Use appropriate gauge wire for corresponding components.
Example:
Luxeon LED: 20 - 18 gauge
Speaker: 22 - 20 gauge
Battery Power: 22 - 20 gauge
Switch Lead: 24 - 22 gauge
Mounting and Installation Recommendations.

surround the board preventing and foreign metals to accidentally come in contact with the
board while power is applied)
A plastic mounting plate/case is recommended for attaching to an internal chassis or by
other means of securing it in the hilt to keep it stationary for proper gesture recognition.

Safety and Precautions:

DO NOT leave batteries in Saber while not in use for long periods that would allow
the batteries to completely drain.
REVERSE VOLTAGE or improper LOW VOLTAGE can damage the electronics.
Only Use the specified batteries and observe all battery precautions.
FOLLOW CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY FOR LITHIUM ION BATTERIES
ACCORDING TO CHARGER INSTRUCTIONS.

** Photosensitive epilepsy warning.
Photosensitive epilepsy is the name given to epilepsy in which all, or almost all, seizures
are provoked by flashing or flickering light, or some shapes or patterns. Both natural and
artificial light may trigger seizures. Various types of seizure may be triggered by flickering light.

From Alex @ Ultrasabers.

We are starting on a second run of the USB2 series sound boards, and as always, we try to upgrade functions and features every run. For this next run we are going to be making the following upgrades/additions:

Pulse mode/Lockup will be much brighter than before, putting it on par with other high end boards
Switch bounce circuitry, allowing use of a wider variety of momentary switches other than tactiles
New boot sequence (so you don't have to break connection with the batteries)
Overall optimization of the code for better reliability

Owners of current 2.0 boards, do not fret!

We always stand behind our products and try to do right by you, so, we will be happy to upgrade your current 2.0 boards to the new 2.1 if you so desire.

Now I can't do it for free, but I can do it for cheap. The fee is just $6 per board +return shipping. Yes, six dollars. This offer is extended to TCSS customers as well. I don't think I could have made it any more fair than this.

So here's how the upgrade will work:

On Feb 1st, I will add an item to my website called 2.1 Upgrade. You just add it to your cart, check out, then send your board to me. You will have until Feb 5th to do this. Once I get all the boards here and accounted for, I will send them all to the manufacturer for the upgrade, which should take about 2 weeks. When I get them back, I will return them to you.

If you have any questions or concerns about how this will work, post and I will answer. Please don't post here asking about the ETA on the production run or for specifics on 2.1 features - We have 2.1 boards already and we will be elaborating more on it in a separate thread.

This thread is only for dealing with the 2.0 to 2.1 upgrade. Thanks.

P.S. Bane and Graflex customers will be getting 2.1 boards

There will be new features on the 2.5 board.
We thank you for your patience, and could you please put your pitch forks and torches away. ;D

More updates and a formal announcement will be posted throughout the weekend.
