View Full Version : Where'd You Get that "Handle?"

Alright,

Where'd everyone get their "handle" for this forum. Some of you have some bizarre names, to say the very least. But all are interesting.

As most of you might have read, Desert Scorpion is sort of my ultimate jedi character that I have created in one of my short stories. I actually don't see myself as him, he's cooler than cool. I haven't even started a story about a jedi that I see myself as, yet, but he'd be more like an Aragorn with a light saber and a bow. Some kind of ranger jedi (just like JediRanger [:D]). Alright. Nuff said. Next...

I'm a spiderman fanatic.....the very first forum i ever signed up for was i think 600rr.net a motoryccle forum well, i tried all spidey, spiderman, spider-man, peter parker, all of them and none would work...so i thought hey, why not just use his clones name "BenReilly" and wala, it's stuck, all my forum names are the same now.

James3=pretty boring, I'm the third generation with the same name. I have 3 kids, 3 was my number way back when I played soccer as a kid, Dale Earnhardt was the driver that I liked in NASCAR, Helio Castroneves is who I like in IRL, just one of those things[:D]

I use Rel-Tett for videogames and some other sites and again no real thought in it just my last name.

somone told me there was a site that gave you jedi names are something but I don't know what it is[:(]

Oh boy... back in the days of AOL when I wasn't even a teen I wanted to get xwing, but yeah... taken. So I combined my two favorite things: SW and band. Yes, I'm a band nerd.[:o)] Still am.[:D]

I've stuck with it ever since. Kind of hand an interesting ring to it too, like a band of xwings...

naashar
03-24-2006, 04:34 PM
Ok, my turn?

My handle is actually "Na'Ashar", which is basically my middle name backwards. I modeled it sort of in the Arabic or Nordic fashion, wherein there is an indicator of the person's ancestry (arabic: "ibn", meaning "son of.."; nordic "...son, as in Ericson, Leif).

My persona comes from a planet much like Mace Windu's, where the general populi has some sort of Force sensitivity, and "he" was born to sort of a legendary family. "Na", in this language, means "Son of" and "Ashar" is a "lost" word that means either "Chosen" or "the Damned". He knows nothing of his biological father (not tru in real life; quite close w/mien Papa! [:D]), but he does know that his father was a legend of his particular generation. For good or ill, he cannot say. But, he definitely feels the pressure that most sons feel in the shadow of their fathers' achievements/failings. Where his path will lead remains to be seen.

Dramatic, right? lol [:D]

Ok, pimpin'; don't have the site, but I remember the formula!

It gives you a Coruscanti name: First Name: Take the first two letters or first syllable of your first name and the first three letters of your middle name. Hyphenate the result.
Surname: Take the first three letters of your last name and combine it with the first two letters/syllable of your mother's maiden name.

According to the formula, I'd be Ai-Rah Scowi.

Mine Comes from Stargate SG-1. It is an honorable Jaffa Greeting. It's Kind of like "live long and prosper" or "Nanoo Nanoo". I have done my share with bands. High Scool marching - Jazz Bands- State concert- State Symphoinic- College Music All aspects as i majored in MUSIC at East Carolina and Virginia universties. I n high school the band was where it was at. We went to competition in cool places like myrtle and Daytona beaches. We chilled onthe beach while all the non music geeks slaved in the class room. It shows most kids mentallity in my area really wasn't too smart. Ran Lights and sound for bands and still have lots of freinds that continue success in that field. By the way i was a Brass Man. Started on Coronet then to Baritone Horn. Finally went to Trumpet as my major but have had to at least make a sound on them all.

SaberSentinel

My "handle" comes from KOTOR, my favorite class is a Jedi Sentinel. I bet no one could guess were the "Saber" part comes from lol. I also like the idea of using a Lightsaber to defend those who can't defend themselves(I was totaly light side before I left Taris); thus SaberSentinel.

My signature is also along those lines: try to solve a conflict without fighting; but if you have to fight, kick some serious but.

Jedi Ranger
03-25-2006, 04:47 AM
Well, guess it's about time I post mine in here!! After all, (I) was referred to in the first post! [8D][;)]

I came up with mine not as any specific name, but more a TYPE of Jedi. There are Jedi Knights, Jedi Masters, etc. I created the Jedi Ranger(s), as a cross between Aragorn, the Rangers from B5, and a Jedi Knight/Master. More combat-oriented, long-term, out-there, "lone ranger", underworld type missions.

I created my costume around this idea. No actual name for my character yet, but when I come up with something, I'm going to start some writing some SW fanfic.

Daj Nallig
03-26-2006, 09:34 AM
Mine's kinda weird... on the PS2 edition of epIII there is a character named Cin Drallig- who, if you turn it backwards, you get Nic(k) Gillard, who did all the saber coaching on epIII. I liked the way that name looked and sounded, so, instead of taking the standard SW name(mine would be Gal-Jos Mavan), Iscrambled the letters of all 3 of my names (Joe David Gallion), and came up with Daj Nallig.
Also band geek- quit playing trumpet my freshman year, because I was sick of just getting used to one school, and Dad getting transferred to another church (I'm also a preacher's kid....). Now I play bass guitar- oddly enough, horn lines make great bass licks.[:D]

I got my handle in college. When I signed up for a computer account on campus they created your account username by using your last name. If there was someone with the same last name they put a number after it. Logic would suggest that the number be sequencial ( you know wood1, wood2, wood3) but I guess they just pick a random number because I became wood7588. I kept looking for the other 7587 wood's but never found them.

Band geek as well - I played the tuba up through college. Still tinker with it now and then.

Pirate King - during the early 90's I was involed with a Gilbert and Sullivan summer theatre progam at Oregon State University. I built the sets and sang in the chorus on a number of shows.

When i was given a gmail invitation super didnt fit the length requirements and i had recently found out about strongbad thus the trogdor reference. Well, my name has a story behind it...

On my thirteenth birthday, I decided to go to Laser Quest (THE best place ever). I chose the nickname "Hyperkid". It sounded cool back then, but I quickly decided it was too immature.
I realized that my story mirrored the story or Robin (from Batman) and how he grew out of the "sidekick" role and became the super-awesome kung-fu/stealth hero, "Nightwing".

Now it's sort of grown past just the character, and is now just my nickname everywhere. Whenever there's another kid with my name in the room, my friends sometimes call me NightWing.
I also occasionally go by "Knightwing" and usually capitalize the "W" whenever possible.

Hanh Plaenus is something I came up with when playing KOTOR II. Hanh is actually Vietnamese and comes from my name when I was monk, Phap Hanh, which means the Method of Action. Plaenus started out as Plaegus which came from Darth Plagueis.

Here is the link for that Jedi name creator http://www.wilcoxusa.net/saber/swname.htm

The first run had Moo-El Kesav, that just didn't sound quite right. I had to play around with my name a bit until I came up with Mor-El Kesav.

I rather like it because it is not only in the Star Wars universe but Mor-El sounds Kryptonian and Kesav sounds Vulcan so the name crosses many Sci-Fi boundries. I use the title Master because of my rank in the Army, Master Sergeant. My Trek name for 15 years has been Sekar, which is Vulcan.

Mine actually comes from my cat’s name: Mini Poo Head
For years my handle was Mr. Furious on any site I was on, but about 6 months ago I started changing every thing to Poo Head because some friends and I started a joke about my cat running for political office. You can see how far we took it in the picture of my car below, in that we actually made signs for this whole thing

http://gallery.wewt.net/albums/Gipes-World/AutoX_Mar05_001.jpg

(This is a picture of my car at an auto cross. I'm not a ricer, the numbers and other stuff are magnets that go on at the event and come off before leaving [:p])

Anyway, it just mainly stems from that, and I even though I’d say that I’ve turned away from the light side of the force, Mr. Furious just didn’t seen to be catchy any longer.

My name is very unique and I like that. It comes from a Pittsburgh Steelers radio announcer named Myron Cope. He's a little polish guy and when a great play would take place he'd yell 'yoi'! The funny thing was that the yoi's would stack, and a good play was just 'yoi' a better play was 'double yoi' and the best of the season was triple 'yoi'. My friends and I would even play drinking games in college, every yoi = 1 shot. Double and triple count as 2 and 3 respectively, good times [:D]

eh mine is plain. In 2nd grade, we all thought it was cool to call each other by their last name, or an abbreviation that was easier to pronounce. My last name being Shakarian, not the easiest. So Shiky was created. however, when i make star wars characters, its almost always Shami Pemas. i didnt like the hyphen, and that just worked. It sounds cool... jedi master shami pemas. it rolls off the tongue.

Jedi-Loreen
05-07-2006, 01:44 AM
<font size="3"><font color="blue">My "full" Jedi name I came up with is Loreen Shadowchaser, Loreen, because it's close to my real name, Lori. The last name came about because I've always liked those types of names like Skywalker, Sunrider and Darklighter. So I thought about my Jedi chasing away the shadows of the Darkside with the Lightside, thus came Shadowchaser.

But for some reason, when I was a newbie to message boards, I thought I had to make sure everyone knew that I was a Jedi, so my user name was Jedi Loreen Shadowchaser, which is just too damn long. [xx(]

Over at Dewback Wing's ASAP, people started calling me JLo, because it was a lot shorter. I'm kind of stuck with the long name over at the Rebel Legion and it's just too much trouble to change it on ezboard. [:p]

So, when I signed up at the forums at TF.N, I shortened it to Jedi-Loreen. Now I use it for my email and other things.</font id="blue"></font id="size3"> [:D]

Guess it's time for me to join in here;

I couldn't use my SCA name Donal McDrago...It didn't sound Jedi enough for me.

The first part of my name Zhi is in honor of my favorite SW character Qui-Gon Ginn. It sounded pretty cool. The second name is my won first name shorted, Donald = Don. The last name takes some time to explain. Sherman set the 'Wayback' for 1969.In those days, when my older ladylove wanted me to choose a private name for intimate use, I remembered a character from a movie, "The Faceless Man", which I am sure none of you have heard of. He was a roman soldier who was caught in the eruption of Volcano [Vesuvius]SP? and was covered in lava, but still lived. Hey...it was a horror movie. He came alive once uncovered and although still incased in lava was able to move [yeah, I know, impossible]. He believed that a girl who was wearing the jewelery worn by his dead lover was alive and kidnapped her [he couldn't see through the lava coating and moved around by instinct. yeah...I know, pretty dumb]. He carried her into the sea, but dissolved in the water and perished. She lived. Sad story. Anyway the characters name was Quintilas Aurelias. I combined both names to form Aquintas. She seemed to be happy with this result.

End of story.

True- satan is Hebrew for adversary. However, "adversary" is merely a title that Helel gained after leading the revolt against God. The reason I thought you were going for an Hebraic handle was "Melek", which is Hebrew for "king". Didn't mean to offend, just commenting.

I suppose I should weigh in; I'm blowing up the forums everywhere else.

Darth is your basic warning that "This guy is Darksided."
Adderall, for those that don't know, is a drug prescribed for Attention Deficit Disorder. I HAVE ADD, and for a very brief while was on Adderall for it.
Turns out Adderall affects me in such a way that all the Darksided attributes and emotions, fear, anger, hatred, violence, were amplified in me while I was under it's influence. Very Jekyll-and-Hyde kind of thing.
Since then I've become a Daddy, hence that extra D on the front.

Figured out my Jedi alter-ego: Jedi Allium Sativa.
It's the scientific name of common garlic, my favorite ingredient.

Drewbacca
07-17-2006, 02:43 AM
My name all throughout junior high and highschool was "Drewcifer" or "Sir Drewcif"...which worked I guess.

However, one night at a Waffle House, the summer I graduated...I was having coffee with some friends of mine, and we started talking about Star Wars. The topic of conversation came up because my old friend "Tater" has the carbon freezing chamber silhouette tattood on his right bicep. He also has boba fett on his inner forearm, and an X-wing on his outer forearm. So we usually called him Darth Tater.

Anyway, my friend Ravi got branded Ravi-wan-Kenobi...and since I'm about 6'2" and 360lbs, I got branded Drewbacca.

02-19-2010, 11:51 AM
Wow, there is a good 3 plus year gap in this thread, ah but who cares. It's kind of cool to see how members came up with their names. Here is how I came up with my name. When I first saw Star Wars, back when Star Wars was just Star Wars. I think I was 4, any way Darth Vader was my favorite. Back then I really liked superheros, and my favorite color then was red. Darth Vader wore a cape, instant superhero and he had a red lightsaber. Need I say more? Growing up I always favored the bad guys. The Decepticons, to me had the better symbol, in G.I. Joe Cobra had the cooler uniforms and vehicles. That's why I like Darth, the bad guys always have the cooler stuff. In highschool I read Clive Barkers Cabal, and watched the movie Nightbreed. I loved that movie, the book was better, anyway Midian is the place where the monsters dwell. I always thought that was a cool name. So Darth Midian, I thought would make a pretty cool Sith name. Sorry for the long explination.

ARKM

ARKM is the name I came up with for my business back in '07. It's not an acronym and does not mean anything.

Anywho, my main online moniker is "Evil Henchman" (or variations thereof). I got the name for a character I played in a lame home movie I made in the early 90's called "The Shaolin Cake Thieves from Prineville". Yes, it's on youtube. No, you will not enjoy it. Basically I and my friends were trying to come up with very generic names for all the characters. My character was a henchman for an evil mastermind, thus "Evil Henchman" was my character's name.

First name backwards + first 3 letters of my last name. I normaly use it for emails, I don't like it but I'm stuck with it.
If I could do it again I'd pick something more Star Warsy like Jakd-On-Gin

I used to do internal support for software information and quotes for a computer company, and they had this major internal help line called the quad, or x35555 .

Well, I'm a medic in the US army, studying to be a nurse, and I always figured if was a Jedi, I'd specialize in healing. Like Bariss Offee or Cilghal

It's Japanese for "BlackButterfly," my media/design label (music, ceramics, photo, film, web, textiles, literature, promotional).

Nineteen
03-01-2010, 12:29 PM
I'm a huge fan of Stephen King, and my favorite of his works is the Dark Tower series. In them, the number 19 is a very important number, usually meaning something ominous was about to happen, or guiding the "heroes" toward their ultimate goal.

Cantina Chef
03-10-2010, 03:03 PM
Well one of my favorite scenes as a kid was the scene in the cantina bar where you meet Han Solo for the first time, all the different aliens, the band, that ugly dude who doesn't like Luke, and Obi Wan cutting off the "Wolf Mans" arm...oh and I am a Chef so....yeah

LastODJedi
03-15-2010, 11:52 PM
Well, back in the early days of AOL, your screen name could only be 11 characters long. So Last of The Jedi was out. I shortened it and came up with LastODJedi. I've used it for just about everything since.

Sairon
03-20-2010, 09:15 AM
Sairon came awhile ago when I wanted to have a code name for fun, it stuck so I kept it lol. Now I use it in almost everything I do, gaming, foruming, essays. It's like my second name really, my friends know who Sairon is, even my girlfriend calls me by Sairon sometimes.

Skottsaber
03-20-2010, 10:06 AM
When I was coming up with my Randomsabers name, I had to thin of something. Well... not really. I just kinda moved my fingers and it became my name, now I use it on all forums.

celticsmithy
03-21-2010, 11:39 PM
My screen name comes from the fact that I am a history buff the medieval age is my favorite. I am of predominantly Celtic and Norse decent and I have been a blacksmith for about 8 years. I also do blacksmith demonstrations at several renaissance fairs every year and forge a lot of celtic-viking items and weapons.

Silent_Jedi
03-23-2010, 07:13 PM
Mine comes from my semi-resemblance to Kevin Smith's character Silent Bob. I've gone around for Halloween in my Jedi Robes with a turned back cap and just gestured quietly... not as effective without a Jay though.

Ty_Bomber
06-01-2011, 06:24 PM
My first name is Tyler, and most people call me Ty or Tyler interchangeably. I used to put in TIE for my initials on the rogue squadron series, and about 5 years ago the receiving Manager at Barnes and Noble (a fellow who loves Star Wars just as much as I do) just started calling me "Ty fighter" or "Ty bomber," depending on the day. I do love my ties, even have a ringtone of the engine sound, so I've used it since. I'm bomber here, and fighter on the fx-sabers forums.

ever find it funny how some unimportant things you read or hear about stick with you your whole life?like maybe a bad joke or a news headline well for me one of those things was this small article in a magazine i read when i was 7 or 8. it told you how to get your Jedi name. it said to take the first two letters of your first name combined them with the first three letters of your middle name and for the second part of your Jedi name you take the last three letters of your last and bam! you got your Jedi name at lest thats how i got mine

Knighthammer
06-01-2011, 09:49 PM
I'll bite - Knighthammer...
A all black, Executor Class Star Destroyer (think Super Star Destroyer) and Admiral Daala claimed it as her own. Originally it was named Night Hammer - but since she decided to go against the Jedi Knights at Yavin 4, she renamed it Knight Hammer. Hence my name, loved the name from the first time I read the book (Darksaber).

Revathor
06-01-2011, 10:03 PM
Ok, I'll play too. Revathor is the name I use everywhere, it is my adopted name for myself in all my MMORPG's from WoW, Star Trek Online, DC Universe and Star Wars Galaxies as well as the forth comming Star Wars Old Republic. I also use it in my novel writing as my main character, whom I wish to god/s I could be like. I was inspired by Revan from KOTOR and Thor as I love my mythology and thunder storms and all he represents.

I tried that once, I think the name generator I used had you use for your first name, the first 3 letters of your last name, followed by the first 2 letters of your first name. Your last name was the first 2 letters of your mom's maiden name, and the first 3 letters of the city in which you were born. Mine would be Prolo Molas, which I thought sounded horrible for a female Jedi, so I never used it.

LinIs KeAus...yeah, no.

My username? Let me quote the actual Win98 error:

Windows could not be launched because Windows cannot find (null).exe
Please reinstall the application

Basically, Windows couldn't launch because it couldn't find a file that didn't exist.

It made me laugh so hard (before cursing for hours as I did a complete Win reinstall) that I've used the name ever since.

(null).exe, [null]exe, null.exe, nullexe, null3x3, 95% chance that wherever you see that username, it's me.

Silver Serpent
06-02-2011, 07:29 AM
Mine is shamelessly stolen from the first MMO I ever played, Ultima Online. I used to have endless hours of fun letting silver serpents loose on unsuspecting players and then looting their bodies. I'm a terrible person, I know. :)

Borax
06-02-2011, 07:50 AM
Well way way back when i was 15 and goofing around on some web site i needed a handle, and being the highly imaginative person I am I saw a box of Borax on the shelf in the room and thats what it has been ever since. Exciting !

ghost_a*
06-02-2011, 09:45 AM
started out at GhostRider on message boards about 10 years ago
this came not from the comic book but from the handle that the aircraft carrier takes on TopGun when talking to Maverick and Cougar in beginning.
they refer to them as Mustang and to themselves as GhostRider

then a few years of using GhostRider i just shortened it to "ghost". the lowercase "g" was more unassuming.

then as i joined more message boards the username "ghost" was taken more often, so i tacked on "a*" in reference to Alpinestars, the motorsport apparel company because for about 5 years i owned a GSX-R 600 sportbike and wore alpinestars gloves, boots and jacket.

so now it's either "ghost" or "ghost_a*" when ghost is taken.
and on the playstation network my handle is "ghost_mv" for my real initials.

Vox-Xin Vangear
06-02-2011, 03:12 PM
Mine is actually my Jedi character name. When I do costume, I like to develop a back story for a character. I like to use "V's" in a lot of my names (my name is Vince so I guess I just like the "v" sound) I just started writing down different three letter two word names like "Obi-Wan" but with "v's". Vangear just popped in there and stuck, Vox worked well with Vangear, and Xin (the "X" is a z sound) Is my name "Vin" and just adding a "z" sound in front because... I was reading a Zatanna comic. Had "z's" on the brain. Ok yea reading that back... I'm a total dork. LoL.

Yoshi-Taka
06-02-2011, 05:16 PM
Mine's also from my Jedi character name, back when I was gonna write some fanfiction. The full name is Yoshi-Taka Nabiad.

In general, I'm a sci-fan and I used to be a huge anime fan. Needless to say, I was big into Gundam back then and upon playing one of the games (Gundam Battle Assault 2. Classic.), I saw the name Yo****aka in the credits and loved it, so I hyphenated it to Yoshi-Taka to make it more "Star War-y". "Nabiad" is an anagram of "Bandai", the company that made the game. So.. Yoshi-Taka Nabiad was born.

It's my name.

thejedilestat
06-02-2011, 11:41 PM
the first anne rice book i read was The Vampire Lestat

"I am The Vampire Lestat. I'm immortal. More or Less. The light of the sun, the sustaind heat of an intense fire --these things might destory me. but then again they might not."

reading that left its mark on me and so thejedilestat was born.

Tarrell
06-03-2011, 12:22 AM
Tarrell, Its a name I made up a few years back for my Dark Angles Space Marine Captin,Came to me when I was watching superman and i liked the sound of his name "Kal-El". So after a couple of mock ups, finnal I had Tar-Rell. I made it one word for forms though, :)

Boj-Vaati Mau
06-03-2011, 03:13 PM
Cul-ja Smliv or Cul-ja Nelval or Cul-ja Necre didn't sound appealing but the generators gave me ideas. I like name Jocasta but not the male-ized version of Jocasto but Nu stuck in my head. As one of the generators used Pet Name I went with the first three of my departed cat's name of Mauser.

I was then poking about for a forgien word that would look good hyphenated, running across the Bosnian word for "to fear or to be afraid of", being bojati. To Star Wars it up a bit after hyphenation I threw in the Va, then added the dicritic marks.

I'm trying to decide what it means & the characters back story...

Master Valon
06-03-2011, 04:43 PM
A Star Wars name generator I used to have produced "Tilsa Valon" for my Jedi name. Liked Valon, not so much on "Tilsa". Just sounded stupid. So yea, in my head, whenever I pretend to be a Jedi, I'm Master Valon. So naturally, for my first Star Wars related forum handle,( first ever forum, actually!) it was a given what I would use!

Xanatos1986
06-03-2011, 08:29 PM
Xanatos1986, Xanatos was one of Qi Gon Ginns apprentices that went to the darkside, I like that name and 1986 is my birth year.

tachikoma1
06-09-2011, 08:39 AM
This is an old thread but I'll play along. The name generator would make me "Reuto Yoboi." YUCK!!! "Tachikoma" is the name for the artificially intelligent "think tank" assault vehicles in the "Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex" anime series. They would fit in with the Star Wars universe just fine as slightly annoying but fiercely loyal and total badass battle droids. They would most likely fight for the Jedi and make scrap out of any Geonosian or Trade Federation droids.

PaPa_FoZzY
07-11-2011, 04:35 PM
PaPa_FoZzY. Theres a long and boring story about how I started going by this name... Let me tell you lol. it's a nickname I came up with "a long long time ago"... I used to watch Pro Wrestling and one of my favorite wrestlers was "Lionheart Cris Jericho" and my first handle was Lionheart, then as I got older and Jericho changed his ring persona to Y2J. My Real name is James so I started using Y2J. then Jericho started a band called FoZzY. So I started using FoZzY. And after I had kids it evolved into PaPa_FoZzY and I've made it my own now.

Jedi Mynock
07-12-2011, 09:13 AM
because... well i mean come on, how hilarious would that be? A force capable Mynock? i think i actually registered on sirstevesguide.com with that a looooong time ago. or maybe it was theforce.net? dunno. i havent gone by the name Jedi Mynock since all before (SOME) of you were born! lol

captain_mills
07-12-2011, 11:16 AM
Captain Mills came from an era when I played an old Star Trek rpg with some friends of mine. It's been the same ever since. Never changed it...

BUT

If I were to use a Jedi name, I came up with one one beautiful afternoon when I went to buy some stuff at the local store. Their generic items are packaged by a brand named Kroger. I picked up some cans of mandarin oranges, and the receipt abbreviated both words, shortening the items to Kro Mandar. Hence my jedi name was born!

Boj-Vaati Mau
07-12-2011, 12:54 PM
*chuckles* And a good name it turns out to be! Now, with your Master's complete, you are officially Master Kro Mandar!

Raith
07-12-2011, 08:54 PM
Raith is an adaptation of the word Wraith which is a type of ghost... I have a tendency to feel like i am invisible to most people (since hardly anyone notices if i'm around or not)... therfore I adopted the handle Raith for alot of things (alot of Forums, and almost all my Video Game characters)...

Lately, as I am now a soldier in the army and "trained to kill", I have adopted the nick name Azrael (the hebrew and Muslin name for the Angel of Death). I've even named my 92 Camaro, Azrael, gotten the name tattooed on my shoulder, and am starting to design some sabers based off the Angel of Death theme

kage_no_mozaiku are you still using IMVU?? I'm using it now and I use Stoddard as part of my screen name there as well.

Jaarna
08-06-2011, 03:31 PM
Mine is a character from a book I'm writing. Jaarna is two words .. Jaar = of the Gods and Na = King ... so it's king of the Gods in the book.

Machinimax
08-06-2011, 04:15 PM
Ok. :)

Machinimax

I like making videos and one of my favorite types of videos to make is called Machinima. It's when you use some sort of video game to make a movie. I wanted to come up with a production name for myself. I took "Machinima" and crossed it with a word like "Cinemax" or "Miramax" and got "Machinimax Productions." So I decided to use the first part of that as my username here!

MedicineMan

Jenny
03-07-2012, 12:27 PM
Jenny is a familiar diminutive of Jennifer, which is the name which appears on my birth certificate.

My family name is Linsky, and Jenny Linsky was the title character of a series of children's books by Esther Averill. That's Jenny Linsky in the red circle up and to the left.

TuxedoCartman

An drunken inside joke involving Sailor Moon and South Park. If you can't figure it out from that, then me explaining it won't help.

DarthTratus
03-07-2012, 07:22 PM
Mine, Darth Tratus, was the result of mixing Tyrannus, and Traitor, just a little sloppy.

Kevin Starwaster
03-08-2012, 01:01 PM
My given name IRL is Kevin and some gaming buddies nicknamed me Kevin Landwaster (from the Thomas Covenant novels) going so far as to making me play a character by that name that one of them had rolled up on a day that I had forgotten my character sheet.

Fast forward to my early Internet days when I was looking for a unique handle (after discovering that my local BBS handle of The Traveller was in use by everyone and their dog) and thought back to my gaming days, decided to change Landwaster to a more sci-fi sounding Starwaster. Usually I just go by Starwaster but sometimes Kevin Starwaster.

Darth Scorn
03-08-2012, 07:16 PM
My older brother gave me this name when I was about fifteen because of events that took place in life that made me just hate everyone most of the time, its the same in our story we have still yet to finish
