Acrylikhan

Hello everyone, I am Frank, but I go by Acrylikhan on the boards. I have been a model making for almost ten years.
One of my ongoing projects has been making lightsaber hilts from all the Star wars movies, and perhaps some of the games. Most of them will only be static props for hanging on a belt or in a display case in my study. I figured this is a great place to do research on the hilts, and perhaps figure out if there are any found items that could make construction easier with some simple modifications. Here's one of Vader I've completed:

And one for Yoda, Just started a few days ago...

I will need to make some "functioning" sabers soon, and this seems to be the right place to cipher out how to make one without breaking the bank. I enjoy a challenge, and my soldering skills could use loose a few inches of rust.
I look forward to browsing the forum and speaking with all of you.
