you might want to call and see if they'll hold you one. Are you on good terms with anybody that works there?

Nah but there are several gamestops around my area. I'll just call around and see if I can get one.

I got it last night and curses! its that same Bethesda interface that was in the elder scrolls. I really really hate first person shooter type games.

It said it had a 3rd person view, but it was not much better. I get really naucious after playing this type of game and this was no exception. Navigating around with the controller on the ps3 was painful and the game combat sucks. No real strategy or anything just hit and bash or point and shoot.

The story is intriging but I can't get past this motion sickness to play the game. Time to either get some motion sickness pills or just abandon the game.

I haven't had a chance to start it, yet, but oblivion didn't bother me...so I guess it'll be OK. YEARS of playing FPS, I guess. :) Don't give up...try adjusting the look sensitivity a little lower and that my help. I've had to do that before.

I can't wait to get this game. Other than GTA4, Oblivion is my favorite game for the 360. This one looks promising.

I'm off from work tomorrow and plan to play most of the day. I got gears 2 coming next friday and would like to finish one playthru of fallout before I start it.:D

Tonight is my devils hockey against the maple leafs. Depending on what supplies I get in the mail today I may work more on my sabers. Fallout will have to wait til I can get more motion sickness pills.

There's still time. This is the season to be a gamer! Fallout 3! Fable 2! Dead Space! Far Cry 2! Gears or War 2! Tomb Raider Underworld! Guitar Hero World Tour! OMG! Too many to choose from! Gotta play 'em ALL!:p:shock:

Bah, I miss the original Fallout. Why couldn't they have made this into a tactical combat game? Theres way too many 3D shooters out there.

This is supposed to be more open RPG than shooter. I was looking at the guide and it seems that you have better charater specializations in fallout than you did in oblivion. Can't wait to start! May go with a evil sneaky sniper! or maybe a gunslinger - Roland style!:p

Yeah the roleplaying part is there and it is great. but I still miss the tactical combat. The combat in here can be set to auto targeting/preset etc but its just weird.

I've never played any of the other fallout games, but have heard good things about them. What system was 2 on or was it a PC only game?

Fallout 2 was on several systems, including the Amiga family of computers, PC compatibles and the Atari St. I had it on my Amiga 1200.

Back in those days it was tactical player's heaven. There were a ton of games out with tactical combat. Nowadays you rarely see a game like that anymore. The ones that are out with tactical combat lose the role-playing aspect of it.

The combat games they seem to flood the market with are all crappy real time strategy games which ruins the whole planning part of the game.

I wonder if there's any plans to port it to xbox arcade for PSN? Old games never die...they just become downloadable content!:D
