Hey guys what parts do i need to wire a rebel tri-color to my mace saber. Is that the brightest of all purples? or just a rebel 540 white lumens.

IMO the "best" purple is an LED string. The color is right on with the movies, it's very even, and you don't have to worry about the color mix.

But a Rebel RGB can be hard wired - with the proper current and voltage, it's more of a violet (think grape gatorade). Optics are a different issue altogether.... a regular 10-degree worked fine, but it ended up knocking the bubbles off the emitters. And the 25-degree one sucks.... so it's you call...

You'd have to make it yourself. And I'm still looking for a star that makes purple with which I'm satisfied... and I've been looking...

edit: and before you ask how - look around the forum a bit...

I plan on using 2 blue rebels and 1 red rebel on a tri-star pcb for my mace conversion.

yeah that's what I'm planning, so far the best filters are lee filters IMO.

For 3 in series, 10.8V and 700mA

I think it is only 9.6V forward voltage if you put 3 in series.

I think if I hook up the 2 blue ones in series with a 1000 ma buckpuck so that each one will get 500 ma and the red one in parallel with that with a 700ma buckpuck I would get the right balance of purple. Will have to experiment.
