I can't find a conversion kit ANYWHERE I've looked, and the only answers I'm getting from TCSS and Ultrasabers are "we'll have them soon". Halloween is coming up and I'd like to be able to show off my saber to my 501st friends, so I'm going to try and mod it myself.

Does anyone know what size tubing is used for the kit? I was just going to get http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/125-Sink-tube-LEDBlade-holder--P269.aspx (1.25" holder and led mount/heatsink), and drill any holes I need.

Does anyone have any advice, tips, warnings, or declarations of "stop now before you kill yourself and someone close to you"?

It is doable (and relatively easily so), but it depends upon wether or not you want your saber for show or heavy duelling?

Wow thanks for the quick response. I'm really just looking for something that works... I'd be doing moderate to low levels of dueling, but I want it to look nice too. No display (I've already scratched the hilt trying to open the stupid thing up :( ), but it'll be attached to my belt at any social event nerdy enough to warrant a lightsaber.

Okay, first you need to disassemble it. Here is a link that you will find VERY useful (it will include wiring as well)http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=10251.0

Once you have the DIY instructions, we can move to the next step!
