as the title reads. luxeon driver/dimmer schematic. yea i could buy one. but what is the fun in that (besides i can't afford it :p) i plan on origanly putting in a hasbro soundboard and i belve it already has a dimmer function. but if they don't i wouldn't mind makeing one from scratch. i was wondering if anyone has a pre built schematic for the grand creation we all konw as the luxeon LED
thanks.

You want to build a Driver from scratch???

yea i plan to, it would be cheaper. i have a BUNCH of electronics i can sacrifice for components and it would make the overall project funner, and be more personal, knowing i built it from scratch would allow more pride in the product :D

Dude, you do know that you can buy a good driver for under $10 right?

Here is a very simple driver circuit:

If you replace that resistor with a potentiometer, then you'll have a dimmer.

Do you have any electronic experience? If not your going to find that project pretty hard.

Right! WTF?!

Homes, if you came here thinking "customizing"... then, schematics are going to be of little to no use to you.

He thought this was a Customing forum?

Lesdixsia strikes again!

A better place for this would have been in the "LED hilts and wiring discussion" forum.
