I will be ordering buckpucks and since I need a bucktoot (for a 3v hilt for my son) I will be ordering the 1000ma pucks from the same site. My question is there are 2 types on the site, a dimming and non-dimming. My first thougth was non-dimming means it will not get dimmer (duh) as the battery looses power. But I noticed that it only has 4 wires, while the dimming pucks have 6 wires similar to what is offered on TCSS.

Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated.

Non-dimming (the one with 4 wires) for your project!;)

thank you once again Lord Dottore.

So is there any difference between that one and what is sold here? Or the extra wires just a bonus option for other functions?

The extra wires are for attaching a potetiometer, or pot, that dims the led. It's not something that is done automatically by the puck, you have to do it by hand.
