These are pictures of the three sabers from my last thread... the one about MR w/o resistors...

Anyway, to demonstrate what Erv was talking about with the cameras and such, I took these using me camera phone. As you can see, they certainly look bright, but that has really no bearing on how bright they actually are... hell, the light on my watch shows up about this bright, just because it emits light...

So, grain of salt, whatever... I see this a lot on ebay, when certin individuals use this technique to make their sabers look super-wow-bright...

Looks like you have "real" lightsabers.

I know about this effect. Digital camera's usually cause it. If you have a little money, you can buy a digital camera that automatically corrects for the overexposure.

I notice it more when I take the pix on carpet, that's why I have started taking all of my pix on the flat black mat. (it seems to provide a more realistic representation of how bright they actually are) That's also why I crop my pix NOT to show the whole blade so the "flare" doesn't misrepresent the sabers either!;)
