Hey there, my first post! Which means I might not even be posting in the right place, but here it goes.

Ok, I have a pretty decent workshop in my house, the problem is that it's not mine and I know basically jack about tools and what kind of tools I even need. My uncle's workshop seems more like a woodworking shop, so I don't know if this will suit me well. But hey, I'm eager to learn!

So, as you can figure out by now, I'm completely new to this. I've been playing with the saber builder and I tried to go with something basic yet unique.

This is what I had in mind and I was going to make it an LED saber (5 watt I'm thinking). So it seems to me that mostly I need something to drill a whole for the switch, the screw for the blade, the clip, and then everything else seems to just screw in to place.

The wiring seems a bit tricky but nothing that I cant figure out. However, I'm not really sure how to keep everything in place so it doesn't rattle around. I've viewed the diagrams and all that but it doesn't seem to show how to keep things solid in there.

Anyway, that's it for now. If anyone has some answers or tips that would be great. Novastar, if you're reading this, sorry for the annoying questions on Youtube, lol. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the site!

It's a nice looking hilt, but I see an issue right off the bat with the design.

You have switches and screws placed over the threads of the MHS parts. While it is technically feasible, it's a serious pain to try and get holes drilled in the threaded bits to line up again to insert parts through. Use the Thread guide on the builder to show you where the threads are, and place all hardware between them. As the screws aren't needed to actually hold the hilt together, you can cut off the head of it and glue it onto the outside if you like the look of them placed there.

You also don't have a screw to hold in the blade. That can be a thumb screw if you like that look or an inset screw that doesn't show on the general shape of the emitter.

You'd also probably be better posting this in the MHS or general hilt building sections. This is for posting tutorials.

Yeah, switches are on the threads as said.

Also you are using an adapter near the top... also a double male??? Go to a double female 2" and your threading will be correct.

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention that the blueprint isn't totally accurate. I would put the switch somewhere in the middle, away from the thread, probably opposite of the screws.
