I just made a 3/4 40" thin walled saber and the bottom is good and very tip of the blade are good but the middle sucks... can anybody help me make the middle brighter? i have 1 layer of tcss blade film around the outside and cellophane wrap in the middle of it.

Shorten the blade down to 36" or so, reflect the tip using Semi-Reflective Mylar (Anti-Static bag used for Computer components) How many feet of Cellophane are you using, try 3 or 4 feet.

Hope this helps

well on the tip of the blade i had aluminum duck tape... is that bad? and for the cellophane i unrolled just as long as the saber was... idk what pple mean by 3 or 4 feet... width on the cellophane is not changable, and the length doesn't really matter if it's as long as the tube right?

The tube length can effect how well the light is diffused, the easiest way to cut it is to use a Pipe cutter and cut the film to size, pop the tip off and reflect it with a disk of Mylar, its semi transparent so light travels through the tip meaning an illuminated tip and increased evenness, that's the best way to increase evenness ;)

You can get Anti-Static Mylar from eBay or computer shops, here's an example:

Hope this helps

I would personally say get a Double Wrap of TCSS/Corbin film, it will increase diffusion, the Mylar on the tip will make it even, trust me ;)
