How do i connect the optics to the LED lens holder

I cannot get the two pieces to snap together please help... Do i have to glue them...

No, don't glue them. Sometimes you'll have to trim some plastic on the holder so it will stay on there. First I'd enlarge the notches, then if needed the tabs that hold it in.

They should snap together - if not, sand the edges until they do.

Using the search would also help....however, I remembered posting pictures of what to do with the lenses that don't snap into the holders, and searched for posts made by myself that included the words led and optics and found this:
