Congrats man :D

If you want to know what real alchohol tastes like, down a finger of Wild Turkey Whiskey, it'll teach you the power of alchohol

Oh trust me my friend, I know my alcohol. My mother allows as long as I'm responsible, it'll be different being able to go in public though hehehe.

I just turned 21 12 days ago. I didn't even get carded at the beer store :( I guess thats a good thing but that means I could've gone in there 2 weeks prior when I needed beer rather than making shady arrangements with some dude I met at the auto parts store.

Happy B day a bit early bud. For some reason, the fifth seems important to me too.

Congrats Valeon. :D

I grew up in the era before a national drinking age of 21, where it was still up to the individual states. In many states, the legal drinking age was 19, and I think a few even had 18.

I had my first legal drink in public at 19. In California, where I live, the drinking age has been 21 for as long as I can remember, but I was in Texas for the National Intercollegiate Archery Championships that was held at Texas A&M.

But that was a very long time ago, in 1979 (yeah, I'm old :p), that's before a lot of the guys here were born, probably even before their parents met.

Growing up in an Italian family, the kids were often allowed to have a small glass of wine at big family dinners, I think the oldsters thought it helped you digest your pasta better. My dad would also often let me have a few sips off of his beer.

When I was 18-19 and dressed up nice for a date, I looked older, and often got away with getting a ****tail and/or some wine at restaurants without being carded. ;)

I was boosen sence I was about 14 and slowly slowed down teh drinking, Its like I went in reverse to what you would think.

My first legal drink was in a small town bar and I had just about everything. Oh and if anyone is trying to be a smart ass and gives you a shot of something clear thats not vodka and you can tell from the smell, Its warm water.

ITs susposed to make you puke I guess but it dident work on me.

Oh and watch out for them fireballs(tobasco and hot dam/100) thoes things suck.

You know I'm 26 now, and all my life never saw the big deal about drinking. Honestly about the only thing I can stand the taste of is somethng like Mike's Hard Lemonade. And me with all my German ancestory :-P

When I turned 21, I didn't get carded either. Shortly after that I stopped drinking so much... I use to go to bars when I was 18 all the time, now I go once a month maybe.

Not being a bar person, I'm curious...what do you guys do while there? I mean do you guys talk with friends, hit on the ladies, or what?

Amen to that by no means get behind the wheel even if youve had a tiny amount I've seen too many people dead or get really messed up in wrecks where I live all because somebody doesnt want to ask for a ride or call a cab

I would much rather tangle with a rabid koala than get behind the wheel after drinking.

Congrats my man. Oddly, the ONLY day I have ever been carded was at dinner with my big Italian family ON my 21st birthday. Never before, never since. Oct 5th is also the day that I became a real man! My son was born that day 4 years ago! I'll add a candle to his cake for you:idea:

Oh yeah, be safe!

Jees...... I was doing all day drinking sessions, getting barred then let back in at opening time the next day, and I was only 17......... It was funny on my 18th when the manager asked what we where celebrating ;)

Cant remember my 21st........ think I was drunk........ the odds are good ;)

But that was a prior life...... in the army, before marriage and kids :(
