Static and lose of volume with CF4 SOLVED!!

Thanks to these wonderful, helpful forum members, I have tried to adjust the pot and realize that it is very loose and sensitive causing intermittent noise and volume loss. This can mimic a speaker being blown. So the moral is, if you have distortion, check that pot first before you replace that speaker. Erv is going to send me a pot replacement.

this is a good one to add to the CF Troubleshooting thread, although where it is on here escapes me for the moment.

it's probably ironic to note that *I* made the thread, and yet I've no idea where the 'ell it is. :D yyyyyyyyyyyyoooooooooooooooops!
