This is what I have completed so far. Gonna start working on the leg, knees and back in the next batch. Then bucket, gauntlets and backpack/missle launcher last.

Anyway here is the beginning of Etan Sen'rab's beskar'gam...

And you using the Force (of duct tape) to secure them to my flak hoodie...

As you can see my hair is all ready for my Apprentice costume, not looking forward to be clean shaven though so that stays till crunch time.

Here is the my progress on one of the 3 main weapons my mando will carry

It's going to have a special slot made for it in my pack with a hose running from the pack to the back of the bottom tank. The idea is that this is a chemical diffuser that can spray whatever poison is most popular at the time. Also for trooping events I'll be able to fill it up and drench the kiddies! (with water not poison...that wouldn't be cool) This will be accompanied by a hold out blaster, a long range carbine of some sort, a few thermal detonators and small beskad.

Great start but a couple things.

Your (ammo and gerth) belts will be sitting over your belly button area and your collar piece will be roughly in the neck area, shift everything up and you will be good to go.

Oh and you won't be able to use a hoodie for your vest/flack jacket. tshirts arent a good idea either.

Come join us over here and learn the many wonders of baskergam!

Well, beat you too it! I've been on the mercs forums for a while. I posted all this stuff on there, and I mentioned how everything was sitting too low. I mean it's duct taped onto a hoodie for cryin outloud. I haven't made my vest yet, I'm going to finish my Starkiller costume first and see how much leather I have left over, hopefully I'll make the vest out of that, if not probably vinyl then.

Ah not all that long ago maybe a month ago. I'm tying to get into the Big 3 (RL, 501st, Mercs) before next summer so I can have a full summer of trooping next year.

Is that strictly just for costuming or do you guys run around and shoot at each other etc?

It's for costuming, I mean I'm sure there's people that might play some Mando airsoft or something like that, but as far as I'm concerned, just costuming. Too much time and love goes into it to have people shoot me at 400fps and mess up my paint job!

Well I understand the need to run around in a costume. I belong to a group called the SCA, its like medieval dressup. Except if you're in armor you get to fight.

That's pretty sweet, got any pics of you all armored up?? I really enjoy that era of history.

I'll try to get a pic taken some time. I used to have one a long time ago but I never scanned it in.

I also have new armor now thats mostly stainless steel and leather. Upper parts anyway.
