So I was 'motived by a fellow member who did some nice dremel work the other day....

so I went the garage and worked with mine for about an hour and did my sink tube overlays.. (they came pretty decent if I say so myself)

Im about 65% done with her (finally).. if you havent seen her the original render was this:

http://dmstudios.net/misc/rebel_maverick_1.jpg

here are some pics of her mocked up..

there is NO paint yet (center/main will be black)

and the middle 'brass' ring will be about DOUBLE the size it is now.. (just threw it in there for the mock up)

it will have a CYAN Bin#1 in it (eventually)..

parts:

TCSS blade holder (#3 I think)

both the main/center section were done by Randy (AoF = Arm on Fire)..

as well as the pommel I like so damn much..

has re-charge port/plug in the center.. and speaker holes drilled..

any feedback or suggestions ya'll got is appreciated

when I read the subject line, I thought it was a repaint of a NERF maverick for a rebel legion costume :p

nice saber. I wish mine looked that... shiny

Indeed, that's a very nice saber in the works.

I love the graflex S-curve. I've tried a few times to replicate it in sketchup, but I can't get it right.

Keep us updated :D

A beautiful design and it looks like it will be even better as the real thing, I can't wait to see what it will look like when its finished :)

actually, its a lot easier than it seems.. (with the right tools) I have a belt sander..and making the "S" curve / graflex emitter is easy..

similar to this one..

although I think mine was more like 40-50 bucks.. and looks a 'little' different..

thanks for the replies you guys..

Im looking for some suggestions on some accent LEDS... and switch placement suggestions..

just need to paint the center piece really..

and make the top 'cover/overlay'

Im really at a loss for accent LED placement.. 'and' switch(s) placement..

I cant seem to find the right button/switch Id like for the MAIN power.. if you look in the original redner.. its like a rubber/push-button.. almost like a flashlight type (w/ dust seal/boot)

but I cant find one..and Im thinking it might be too big??

oh yeah.. and thank YOU.. this build wouldnt have been possible without your help/contribution.. (still dig those pommels) ;)
