That would look even better if the painted parts were aged like the middle. Would give it a little better blend.

Thanks I might see what I can do about that. anybody have any suggestions on how's the best way to age it?

I'd experiment with a black/bronze wash.

Now that I take a closer look at it, the center appears to be made of cortosis, while the rest looks like it is fashioned from electrum.

You've done this twice in two two different threads that Armonfire hasn't even posted in.

Please stop. If you continue to do that kind of stuff you'll never see the end of the flack.

Doesn't look too bad, but it's hard to tell because it's so blurry. Does your camera have a macro setting? Look for a button with a flower beside it. That setting will help you take clearer close ups.

I 'personally' think it looks 'unfinished' (sorry, just trying to be honest)

x/97, any input would be great. what looks unfinished about it?

well its all perspective, and personal preference ya know...

Im only a hlaf-fan of organic sabers anyways.. so keep that in mind.. and what someone does not like.. another may love it ya know?

but to 'me' it looks like you just threw some putty in the midle of a hilt..and left it.

so maybe (IMO again) going full organic would make it look more 'complete'?

like maybe have the top/emitter portion be 'fangs/teeth' of some kind? it aleady has that 'fang' look..so maybe a curve saber tooth type object on each side? while you continue the same organic feel all the way up?

again, Im not trying to be rude by any means.. and this all PERSONAL preference..

what really matters is that YOU like it..and are proud of it.. a saber is a personal object to the owner. :)

thanks for the imput. and I didn't feel that you were insulting it... I'm planning on making more sabers in the future so I like so get suggestions. Actually the look I was going for was that its a Horn from a creature that a jedi had to kill perhaps in his Trials or something ... (like a Hissis dragon) and then he used it to fashion his lightsaber
