This is, once again, the saber of a redeemed Jedi. The Jedi has come "full circle" from the light side to the dark and back to the light. It uses an RGB Rebel with a pot on the red line to give it just the right purple color. It can switch between purple sith, green Jedi and purple Jedi. Obviously it uses a 616 sound board. It is built on a sink tube skeleton with MHS choke point and emitter style 12. The pommel also incorporates the sith 616 pommel. The activator box "slides" forward on a custom track to reveal the RGB switch beneath. I also used a three cluster of rubber grips on the bottom of the hilt and only one on the top. I hope you all enjoy and some are inspired by it. I have, for the first time included a video link that demonstrates how it works!:p

I also linked this to the 616 ideas thread because I did use a few 616 parts.

Pretty dang nice! The way you used the 616 parts was nice and subtle; My first guess would not have been that this was a sinktube/616 saber. I like this hilt, especially the pommel! Did you have to widen the hole in the sinktube endcap to allow the 616 pommel to sit flush with it, or does it just fit?

Thanks! In this case, I chose the pommel that just fit. I attached it to the 616 battery pack/speaker w/JB weld and battery pack slides right in ( I also lined the inside of the tube with a plastic chassis ) and the tube cap screws right on. BTW thanks for the observations that is exactly what I waas going for!:p

Me likey...I may have to make one in my future saber projects...After I convert my Aniking AOTC to LUX, Convert my Obi AOTC to 1" blades and LUX. Too many to even think of but I like this one, simple yet I love the idea of the changing colors.

pretty good for a first saber :D

Just kidding.

It looks really good with the "customized purple" What did you use to make the "tracts" for the activator box?

Gracias bro!

I used some metal gromets and buttonhead screws. the track serves 2 purposes. 1. the activator slides on it, and 2. the first and last screws hold the soundcard chassis in place and anchor the mhs-sink tube adaptor to the body of the saber. I thought the design to be...elegant! LOL:p

BTW, I know that I produce at least one saber per week, I don't even post them all! LMAO

Sweet saber! But it appears that your grips are going to come off. How do they hold up to handling?

They are the rubber grip material from the shop here. They are held on with a very sticky double stick tape and are very sturdy. I have spun and duelled with this saber some already and they have not moved at all! A testament to the quality products that Tim carries!

what are you using for optics on the rebel and what are you driving it with?

Used a standard 5 degree lens from the store. The only thing that I had to do was make sure that it was centered over the 3 RGB rebel leds on the star by trimming the lens holder some. This particular saber is driven by a 750 mA pulse driver from coldfusionX. PM me if you want the link they make 750's and 950's.
