I would like to know if anyone has tried this vader body suit and if so how you liked it?
Was it cool enough? Did you have problems with seller? Any info would be nice, thanx.

I know I can speak for all of us here, NONE of us have that suit, we all have Real Leather suits made from Lucas Alverez, who is VERY well known, and respected Vader costuming Vendor.
In fact, about 90% of the 501st Vaders have a suit, cape, and inner robe, from "LA".

I've never heard of this Vendor, but I can see he's ripped off LA's design for the suit.
The problem with "pleather" is it's essentially -Plastic- , and plastic doesn't breathe like leather does, so even though it's ventilated in the back, after you put on the inner robe, armor, and the cape, your not so well ventillated anymore.
LA's suits also have a mesh panel on the chest, that would be under the armor, this is a tremendous help in keeping cool, I don't see that feature on this vendor's design.
If your using this on a mannequin, it would be fine, on a person -it's no better than a Rubies suit, and all the Vaders in the 501st call them "Sauna Suits" because they're Pleather, don't breathe, and as a result, they're HOT AS HELL.
I know, because I used to have one, and I wouldn't wear a pleather suit again, even if it was free http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Cool thanx for the info. Holy begeezus over $700 for all the soft parts? damn going to have to save up my money now. Oh well if the quality is as good as you say I might have to go ahead and bite the bullet. Also is your suit 1 or 2 piece?

One piece,
I think it's easier to manage the belt & cod without the suit moving around on you. http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
all the soft parts from "LA" are just under $600.00, IF you can settle for his "Alpacuna" cape & Robe, which are wool like, only not prone to wrinkle as much as wool does.

His gloves, and cods are not accurate, only "Sitharmor" on Ebay has accurate gloves for whichever particular version of Vader your going for. You can PM LA on Ebay, that is his Ebay store "Fenixprops", and ask him for all the soft parts minus the gloves, & cod, and he offers a package deal with just the suit, cape, and robe sometimes.

Maybe better to build and spend in chunks, then blow the whole wad at once.

The hard parts will cost you some decent coin too, but once you get past the helmet, it's down hill from there.

On average, you'll spend around $2,000 to $2,500 on a good Vader IF you spend wisely. http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Then you have to think about the sound system http://www.midwestgarrison.org/forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Actually, that auction vendor is LA. If you look at the link to his store, it says "Fenixprops". That's a pretty good deal in my opinion. His leather suit alone is close to $500 shipped.

The link I posted was Fenixprops,

the link he asked about was EvolutionToys, a Pleather suit. -see first post.

actually Evotoys, didnt rip it off, LA distributes some of his wares through that store as well.
and as far as SA goes, best hurry if ya want vader parts off him, he's droppin out of the vader parts line. so if ya need it, get the parts needed from him first before theyre gone.

Doesn't look like LA's manufacture, as it's missing the chest vent. http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

once before i seen that on ET and i asked LA bout it, he told me himself that he sells bodysuits to them. now they might have changed a couple things on it, but in the past at least it was LA's suits. it might not be now, they might get it from LA's ex partner customprops now, thus the differences you stated. that would explain it.

I have a suit from Customprops also...

There's only one small difference, in the back panel, where the zipper connects on the bottom, the panel is different. But it too has the open chest panel.

LA told me when he was doing my suit, ED had screwed him over, and then left him with a huge back ordered pile. He did not have any nice words for him.

Your saying that ED is back with him now..makes me wonder if "Ed" is a ficticous scapegoat character when he needs an excuse.

In any event, the suit questioned is still PLEATHER and that is the whole point before the derailment. Doesn't matter who made it, pleather is pleather, like wearing a Rubies suit, sauna, hot, no-good!
