None of these hold a blade, but the short may as soon as there are more 1.25" Sink tube LED/Blade holders in stock. I may even change the emitter on the long black one to accommodate the same. Enjoy

I made them to go with Halloween costumes I made for my girlfriend and my self, but sadly we didn't get to wear them out. Good news is no one saw the costumes, so we can use them this year.

thanks. I built them about a year and a half ago. I wasn't sure if non-lighting sabers would be popular or not. Thank again

Nice job...! Where did you get the knobs for the wooden saber from?? Those look like something I could use in an upcoming project.

the "wooden saber" is actually copper. as for the knobs, they are just little aluminum things that don't do anything. I got a bunch a a flea market for 50cents. I have no Idea what the were originally intended for.

Oh hey those are really nice! I admire ingenuity, and it appears you're loaded with it. Those are very original as well. I hope they light up by the time Holloween comes around.

Again, very nice :D

Very nice! I like the short black hilt. Am I right in assuming it's meant to emulate the Palpatine saber? It's very very cool looking =)

wasn't my intention,it was really meant to be a one handed version of the other black hilt, but because I used a vintage Bakelite knob for the emitter on the first one I was unable to duplicate 100%. The emitter was actually inspired by a Kitt Fisto or Adi Galia saber. It is just made fro a short section of 1 1/4 in sink tube and slip joint washers with lots of brass colored spray paint.

Ah. Well, nice job on the one-handed, it's still my fave of the bunch. I've got a bit of a soft-spot for one-handed hilts not because of Palpatine (besides, he used his two-handed! omgwtfbbq??) but because of the rarity and the idea of having an emergency back-up saber. And your grip cut-out aort of reminded me of what I tried on my own one-handed "pocket" saber:

Kudos on your hardware sabers, the two black hilts look nice and menacing =)

that is a beautiful one hander, smooth and elegant. I love the deceivingly simple lines. I would love a parts list, because that , similar, not exact of course, would be awesome with an amber 24" blade. Just breath taking!

Wow, it's like you read my mind haha. It actually is a LuxIII amber, with a shorter blade than I normally use (it could be 24" but I'm not sure...). Haha. I thought the amber would help give it a more classic look, like a saber reminiscent of a golden age (haha, get it?...stupid puns...). My only complaint is the weakness of the amber LED, but that's one of the two reasons it sports a short blade (the other reason being...it's one-handed!)

That one was just a 1.25" sinktube (sanded down to reveal the brass underneath), a 1.5" sinktube, a 1.25" TCSS blade holder, and a pop-on endcap. All the black stuff? Apoxie Sculpt, kind of like a non-toxic epoxy clay that I used as filler to keep the 1.5" tubes on the 1.25" tube. There's some not-so-shiny silver parts on that saber; all those are just the aforementioned Apoxie Sculpt, covered with a layer of aluminum foil tape. Not a very clean and pro saber up close, but it was my first luxeon saber and my first time using Apoxie so...not too bad haha.

It feels pretty good in my hand too (index finger in the brass groove thing near the emitter, the rest of my fingers in the huge groove under it). But it was one of only 3 pocket sabers I've seen (Palpatine's, Do-Clo's, and mine...) until yours came along. =D. So needless to say, I'm excited that I'm not the only one who thinks a one-hander is a pretty neat idea and that someone else is making them too.

I've got a pocket saber I built for my daughter and I end up playing with it more than she does cuz it's so light and small that you can really go nuts with it.

I used:

BH #4
ribbed extension
generic sink knob from Home Depot
white lux III (had it layin around after I upgraded the wife's saber to P4)

I primed the whole thing with Rustoleum light grey Auto primer and then painted it flat black with a spray of purple over it. It almost looks like purple stone.

Like I said I love the size and weight, I will definately be building a more manly version for myself.

I'll get some pics up when my daughter gets back from vacation, just wouldn't be right without her holdin it.

Very nice work. That's the kind of sabers I'd like to build after my projects already on my plate.
I'm totally behind the idea of one-handed shortsword style sabers. With a blade that doesn't have any mass, why must one use two hands? I'd love to have a matched set for some dual-wielding action. :)
