instead of the 4 motion sensors like the origanal the new ones have 10!:cool:

so dose this mean better sound quality?

better sensitivity?

accurate sounds to each saber?

we will have to wait and see!!!!

sorry to bust your bubble Vane, but the descripton says it has 10 sensor controlled sound effects, not 10 sensors.

Still, at least we'll be able to get our hands on them again.

My guess is that 9 of the "10 motion-controlled" sounds are:

1. Power on
2. Power off
3. Hum
4. Clash 1
5. Clash 2
6. Clash 3
7. Clash 4
8. Swing 1
9. Swing 2
10. Swing 3


Although I could be wrong.

And as long as they FIX the damn "1 cymbal clash" Vader & Maul boards, that would be dandy. Another sith dude like Dooku or an Assaj Ventriss (or however you spell her geek name) would be nice. Preferably Amber as the saber color somewhere too.

But whatever. Wow, a 4th clash sound, great upgrade.

That's like Erv adding ONE sound at a time and calling it v1, v2, v3, v4, v5, etc. Oh and don't forget to wait ten years before "upgrading", hahhaha. Jerkweeds.

The Sabers coming out are just going to be leftover MRFX sabers from the same manufacturing plant in China, no extra sound effects yet if any after they start making new 1's. This has been confirmed to me by the sales rep. who used to work at MR and is now working for Hasbro. From my conversations with her, they do not plan on making any new type of sabers(Dooku, Anakin AOTC, Jade, etc) this year or in the future, kinda sad though as I really would like an AOTC and DOOKU with LED blade( hope I spelled that right). You never know though, they might in 2009 if enough of us start writing letters to HASBRO and stating what We lovers of SW are looking for.

Doubt they'll get it done though.

They do need more Sith & EU ones though.

Very very disappointed in Hasbro. I really disliked the shift of the FX line to Hasbro, but I figured it couldn't be all bad cuz the FX line would continue...but they're not even planning any new sabers?! Very. very. LAME. As much as I love the classics, I'm getting very tired of them. Not to mention they don't really improve from year to year (you can't possibly require the Obi-Wan and Luke ROTJ sabers to have such fat necks....and don't even get started on the electronics).

Hey guys,
I just looked at the ad for the Hasbro sabers an realized that the ad for all of them states that the Darth and Maul supposedly have the 4 clash sounds, this is not going to happen as the descriptions are all the same for all the sabers.
I will contact my contact at Hasbro and verify this, so keep it tentative for now but don't hold your breaths for those 2 to have anything more then 1 sound for clash just like before.:(

Its funny. i have actually been looking into the electronics contained in those dancing/light up music boxes to see if I could find a cheap and small circuit in there to control the sabers effects. If I could extract it and then re-wire it to drive the led and make a "space age" sound effect, I would be good to go.

From all the gook after the domain in the link it's hard to tell, but it looks like someone set up a forward in there that goes to this other page.
Can't say that I've encountered that before.

I'm not gonna link it because it goes to teh p0rn. The text under the link says the forum index, but the link itself has some Google stuff, then FX Sabers forum, then a bunch more code. Then it routes to a separate site with an embedded video file. Freaky.

I get the same porn crap or the AntiVirus 2009 crap when I click on a link to FX-Sabers through yahoo mail. If I cut and paste the link direct, I don't get crap.

I'm running clean versions of IE7, Firefox 2 and Firefox 3. It happens on any of my home computers and it happens on work computers. I don't know if it's yahoo or something at FX.

I cleaned my systems with Adaware, Spybot, SuperAntiSpyware, and Avast antivirus (nothing found), so I don't think it's on our end. I'm guessing yahoo mail. I'll try forwarding a link from yahoo to hotmail and adelphia and then clicking on the links from there.

ok, it seems to happen from hotmail as well, it's not happening from my adelphia/roadrunner account, nor my .gov email. So maybe it's any redirects from yahoo/hotmail that gets the porn/fake antivirus stuff?

well, using IE7, from rocketmail and ymail, when I click on a link to follow a topic, IE7 blocks some type of download, so it might be FX-Sabers.

Can someone contact the admins there and ask them to check their end?
