I picked up a 10 segment LED from Radio Shack (part # 276-081) and would love to have it wired to "Pluse".
Anyone have experience with this? If so a wiring chart with options and parts would be great.
Thanks...

What do you want it to do?, all segments flash on and off or for the segments to scan back and forth or just to light up one at a time until all are lit and then restart.

I have often thought about getting one of those and hooking it up to a LM3914 integrated circuit (IC).
the LM3914 IC is a Dot/Bar display driver designed to power 10 LEDs to give you a Voltage Indicator. The IC takes analog voltage and provides two display styles Dot or a Bar to represent voltage.
To find out more about the LM3914 IC (I sound like an advertisement) go here:
http://www.national.com/pf/LM/LM3914.html.
The PDF on that site gives you an example on how to use it to make a 10 LED 0volt-5volt Bar Graph.
If you plan to go this route, please help the rest of us by giving a link on where to buy small quantities.
cheers,
-V

thats pretty much what corbins PLI does. it does a indicator of voltage of batteries.

Many things can be done with the seven segment led display, with the proper circuit they can be used for a sound level indicator, some circuits may be a little hard to fit inside of a saber hilt though.

Sorry for the delay in replying. My computer went crazy and needed a good saber bash....err reinstall.
I would like the 10 segment to strobe in a climbing pattern. I got some great help from a guy I know with a few ideas, but forgot to ask a few questions. I don't like to bother him too much so I will keep hitting this board with questions.
More to come. (At work atm) [;)]

TK938 this circuit should give you the flashing effect that you want for your led display.
