Well I've finally finished my MHS based obi wan ROTS/ANH saber. Instead of putting the pics in the other thread, where they might get lost, I've decided to put them where there ment to be, in the gallery.

So here it is.

Parts used:
Blade holder style 8 with neck section painted copper.
Custom chock point (which can now be bought in the store), anodised gold.
v-grooved ribbed extension, anodised black.
2" Double female threaded connector with replica gralfex clamp on top.
Browning ANM2 machine gun booster replica, anodised black.
Armitage shanks handwheel with custom connector to connect to the booster.
Blue Seoul P4.
MR Obi Wan sound board.
Premium Speaker from the store.

The paint on the blade holder turned out better than I thought it would but I took my time with it. I cleaned it, sanded it, sprayed it with primer and then sprayed thin coats of the copper enamel paint.

Only thing I couldn't do was put on the transistors from the MR obi wan. It would mean drilling holes it the 2" Double female threaded connector but these holes would be at the threaded parts and I wouldn't want to mess the threads up. So i've just left them off for now.

So heres the pics;

That has to be one of the most awesome sabers I've ever seen.
[mindtrick] you will give it to me[/ mindtrick]

that custom choke is a thing of beauty, thank you for sharing it with us.
Obi himself would gladly carry that into battle.

that turned out very nice, I didnt think it would look good with the choke point section for an obiwan, but now that its all painted up it looks great!

plus i like that blue of the seoul p4, it seems to be a good blue, like its not royal blue or normal blue, kind of in between, really nice

I have to say, that is the best MHS movie replica hilt I've ever seen, and therefore it goes without saying, the best MHS classic Obi-Wan hilt I've ever seen. Very very beautiful lightsaber. You'd have to be a complete nerd like one of us to be able to tell that hey wait a sec, the grip/emitter sections a liiiiiiiiiiittle bit wonky haha. But dang have you got a way with those MHS pieces. Again, excellent job!

Just one thing- does it have sound? Because I couldn't see any speaker holes anywhere, hidden or not (though of course I wouldn't see them if they were hidden...)

Thanks for the comments guys and yes gundamaniac it does have sound.

The Armitage shanks handwheel has a cover on the bottom of it and when its removed there is holes for the sound to come out. Heres some pics:

Oh...my...god...that is SODANGCOOL! You can pop on the cover for a more accurate look, but when you really want the sound to burst forth, you can pop off the cover! I love it! you don't have to sacrifice the accuracy of the pommel by peppering it with holes...

This further cements your saber as my favorite MHS replica hilt. I think I need to lie down now, the sheer awesomeness of it is overwhelming @_@

*ponders why a Gundam needs to lie down, since they never tire* Well I must say that is quite clever Chaos. Very innovative.

sic build....kudos for sure.

and man.. I still love those BH plugs... great idea (still/again)

my only gripe (which is by FAR a pesonal preference thing).. is that the gold PC'd parts look kind of 'mustardy'.... but this could be the pic/monitor too..

I think it's anodized that color, but whatever, it's really hard to get a good gold without having it plated id imagine

Because I am a gundam maniac =). Besides, Gundams need refueling and recharging too! And don't you mean *claps hand like [the Joker]*?

I dunno, I like sort of like that "mustardy" look. Possibly because I've always preferred the ANH version of the saber over the ROTS version, and this "mustardy" gold looks like it's an in-between step from the bright new shiny rots to the blackened weathered anh.

I believe it to be PC,

http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?t=4260

but yeah, like I said.. its really a person preference, not a builder or quality thing...

I have limied experience with PC'ing.. and have only done Harley Parts..and what not..... and I have never looked into the gold spectrum of colors.. nor how hard it is to get a real 'goldy' color..

from MY experience.. I notice that PC'ing gets a little darker/deeper after a few weeks.. (at least some blues do).. and curing and what not.

I still think the flat black on parts is the 'poo'...

wow..youre right.. (just re-read it)..

I dont much about it I guess..but looks rather 'thick'.. like a paint or PC..

still a top notch build
