When I fire up my tower to play KOTOR again I will pull a few links and send em to ya. I use the same program for painting sim-racing cars and trucks so I know I have a tutorial on there from someone.

Cool.

As soon as I can get ahold of my friend with the server I'll post my 7sec. clip I made with my MRFX.

Here it is... It took me 45 min. to make this.

I used this tutorial,
http://www.alienryderflex.com/rotoscope/

The programs I used were Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0.

You need a faster CPU or it will take a long time and really try your patients. But if you just want to do single photos speed isn’t important.

Adobe Premier is about $800 right now, and it's 2.0 wich requires even more computer.

I think Adobe PS Elements 4.0 is about $80. There is also Premier Elements too, but I don't know if it works the same. It should.
www.adobe.com has some free trials.

That looks very cool. Looks like they have pre-programed FX programs... That would make things easier.

Yes!

I tried to use USB and it sux!

The i.link cable makes all the difference. And most programs will use the cable to control the camcorder for you.

If you have a Mac and iMovie, this plugin does a pretty good job also.

Glad to help.

My i.Link was a steal @ $30 from Staples... A steal as in I think that's high way robbery. But you can’t beat the difference in quality and functionality.

I'm glad you knew what they were. Everyone I show it to says they're "sparks". Each one is only one frame long because I had no way of going from frame to frame to make look like it was moving fluidly (with out jumping all over the frame). I had hoped it was going to do the trick...

Anyways, I like it and I wish I could do a longer video, but my 30-day trial ran out, and my lap top won’t be able to handle the 2.0.

I’ll try to post the progress vids so you can see what I actually did to it.

Here’s the raw video and the finished project. One thing I should mention is that when rotoscoping using this method, you have to extend a little farther than the blade or you get the prop showing at each end as you can see…
