Maybe when the light hits the hilt, it reflects the colors of the rainbow?:? Your gusses are as good as mine.

They're called Rainbow tubes because they are the curved vacuum wands designed for the Rainbow brand of vacuum cleaners. You can find them on eBay from time to time.

They're nice because they are chrome-plated steel instead of brass, and the chrome plating is more durable and thicker than what you find on sinktubes. They are thicker walled, so the 1.25" bladeholder sold here at TCSS would need to be modified with some custom work to fit properly.

I couldn't have answered that any better. Thanks

That is AWESOME RICH!!!!!!!!! I'll give you 10 internetz as it made me & my mate laugh!

Grayven, Those hilts are sweet!! I guess the brit equivalent of 'Rainbow' tubes are 'Henry' brand.

Anyone wanting to use a henry should take note that i've found 3 different angles for Henry pipes, all genuine spares from reputable spares shops. Roughly 45deg, and two around 52 deg. The 45 is the most comfortable as far as i'm concerned. i don't know if this is true for the Rainbow ones, but may be worth investigating.

Hay grayven are these the tubes you were using?

If so could you shed some light on the dimentions?

Cool, it's a curved saber with a one-piece base that makes the hilt sturdier than trying to couple together straight tubes with some angular connectors. I was wondering how people got their curved one-piece tubes....

length, width, od?

grayven

Length 1s 12" long from pommel to end of blade holder, but 13" of tube. the OD is 1.251". I'm not sure what you want as a width measurement besides the OD.

Also I would like to mention that I used a Joe Jedi Obi shroud over a painted (black) cut and slightly bent piece of the Joe Jedi core. I had to tap it with a mallet to get it on. The blade holder then slides into the Cut piece of the Joe Jedi core and secured very tightly. At the other end I used a 2" female to female hilt extension. I cut off one end of the threads and taped that as well on to the end of the hilt. I don't even need screws to hold it on it's so tight. Then the pommel just screws on.

I also used some of the cut up Joe Jedi pieces for the black accent half rings near the pommel. I'm using a MR Sith board and a standard LUX III red.

Total cost Just over $100.00

Great work, wow the saber looks stylin'... :) Thanks so much for doing this--you HAVE to bring me a copy of the video when we meet so I can post it on my account as well! I favorited it though, hahahah

I glade you liked it. I wanted to add quick litghsaber slash followed by a camera drop with the helmet coming to rest in front of the camera now on the floor, but had no help from the one whom now calls me the biggest geek ever; My wife.

I think you'll like the saber though, we'll see next week.

What RGB LED are you using? An what optics?
