I just wanted to share with you all what I've been working on for a while now and just recently completed. I've been posting these pictures on several other forums and wanted to share them with anyone here who might be interested.

I personally made every part of each costume with the following exceptions:

The Boots on the Luke Costume (although I did make the puttees -leg wraps)
The Boots on the Jedi Costume
The Blast Shield Helmet -which was a kit that I assembled, and painted

Thanks, Psab

Very nice work! I'm really diggin' the Luke threads. Great job on everything. Did you find the blast shield helmet for sale, or did you scratch build it?

The Luke costume is impressive, but the Jedi one is awesome! The robe loks especially good.

Thanks all!

I actually bought the Blast Shield Helmet as a kit off of ebay. It had the major components pulled in ABS plastic and the kit included some decals and I assembled it and painted it. It was a lot of work, but I am really pleased with the results.

Well your hard work shows!

That helmet really completes the outfit. The quality is great and I envy your sewing skills, but really my favorite part is the bucket.

I love specific costumes, I mean there are so many Lukes out there, but how many "Lukes from the scene where he's learning to use the lightsaber on the falcon" I'm guessing quite a few less!

Well done!

Thank you all for the feedback! It is most appreciated! I was just so excited to share my work, and I'm really glad you all like it!

And to answer your question, no. I am not using a nose hair trimmer, but I am talking into a woman's razor, though, had I not modified it into a comlink, I could have easily had my photographer snap away as I shaved off my beard!

Great costumes man! Is that one of your famous dual tube fishing line blades?

My only criticism is..........

Your hair is all wrong for Luke. :p

Lord Maul,

Thanks! No actually I retired that design a few years ago. Corbin Das really perfected it with his film, and not only does his look great, but it's MUCH easier to make! I actually did another design after that fishing line blade. It was also a dual tube design, but the inner tube was painted with Lexan Bonding Paint (used on RC Hobby Cars and available in most Hobby Shops) instead of wrapping the inner tube in fishing line. A while back I started using single Polycarb tubes with films, like many here have done. All of my blades have been Polycarbonate, but what is inside of the tube has changed over the years.

Jedi Loreen,

Yeah, I have to do something about my hair color!

Psab, I don't know you, but when I worked closely with Corbin for the BOP I sabers (Balance of Power, Episode I), he told me quite a lot about you... not to mention a little bit of the history of LED sabers in general.

My thanks to you, as... you indirectly influenced my production, hehehe

Oh, and stellar costumes! Those look mighty accurate, and wow... must've been some nutty work to go into those!!!

Novastar,

Thank you for your kind words! I can't take all the credit. I did my part to help, but Pippmaster is the one who really got the ball rolling on LED Sabers. He's back after all these years -over on the ASAP A Site About Props Dewbackwing forums too! If you want the real history of the beginning of Luxeon and LED Lightsabers the thread to read is on that board and it's called A New Lighting Strat.

Thanks again.

Thanks!

Yeah these are pretty comfy! If I had more opportunities to wear them I would. I'm actually going to be listing the Jedi Costume on Ebay next week. It's going to include EVERYTHING. And I mean EVERYTHING, you could need.
