This is a saber I designed and fabricated for forum member Slyargo. He has named it "Oneiro".
I custom machined most of the hilt pieces, modified some MHS parts, and used a #4 MHS Pommel w/ insert #1. It has a K2 royal blue driven by (2) 700 mA pucks, a "joe jedi" sw-616 soundboard, and a 4AAA battey pack.

I cant wait till I get this. I'm glad everyone likes the look of it - I love the metal plated look, personally.

Beautiful and presise work as usual Arm, nice job. That blade is a short one...was that used for testing or is it what the buyer is going to use?

sweet saber dude. It must be hard to build for someone else, I would want to keep a saber that looked that good.

Personally, I think he likes the challenge of creating them. I'll be sure to challenge him again. And yeh, 24 inch blade is short - but cool for a second saber, if you are into dual wielding. Of course, this awesome piece plays second to nothing!

Very nice, I am also partial to that grip style. It just seems so solid, makes me want to cut down some foes lol ;)

How does the K2 Royal blue @ 1400 stack up to a LuxIII @ 1400 Arm?

I dont know, Ive never used a LuxIII blue but looking at the specs it shoud be about the same lumen output, if you ratio it (which I dont know if that is accurate), but you would be overdriving the III quite a bit. I would rather slightly underdrive the K2 than risk shortening the life of the III.

But one is never gonna notice them extra 50K hours that you take off over a span of 50k hours.

Yea, the life is so long that a bit of over driving (enter Novastar quote :) ) "within reason" wont hurt it. I have a LuxIII Royal Blue @ 1400 and it is nice and rich. I have not had any problems with it. I was wondering how the two royal blues compared as sometimes in person is better than pics.

My apologies for the slight topic heist :(

Oh wow, very nice o_o Looks very comfortable to hold.

I love that finish on it. Is it polished?

Its more of a fine "brushed" finish i would call it , to me polished is more shiny and reflictive than that.

i really like the style of this saber. its simple yet complex. the grips drew my attention first but its a great combination of style with the the look of the shaft and blade holder.

Nicely done! Another fine work by Arm on.... ... (!)

OMG! Your arm is on fire, bro!!!!!

;)

Seriously though, I dig people who do the royal blue stuff. Royal B gets a bad rap, which is too bad.

Great work, Arm! As usual! Elegant, yet simple. The metal for the grips must have been a b**** to cut so straight and even.

I'm sure that wasn't done by hand...with that type of work the grips had to be milled or shaped by a machine.
